Hi everyone. After almost two years, I'm back with painting and I hope gaming. I am in Infinity since 2006 so you can see here a lot of OOP models. For now it will be 2nd edition Bakunin but there is some brand new Tunguska waiting. For some kind of warm-up, here is WIP of My Reverend Custodier. I hope I will finish her in next few weeks. Yes. Still alive... and once again I'm trying to return to my favorite hobby. By the way, I am now working now on Foksal 18, so if you still live where you lived...
Biedronka got a new line of Plushis And ye im stuck where i was before , and this would explain why i c you near my local Asian restaurant
Yest. And after mayhem called MSPO 2019, I want to start painting again. Maybe I will play before N4 ;-)
Some progress in time of plague. Next WIP of My Custodier. Crappy smartfone photo in the morning light. Last night I tried to do something with her cloak and the reds. She came to dark, I have problems with transition, consistent of paints standing to long untouched and wet pellet doesn't work as it should but it's still some kind of progress. Especially, that is first time after 2 years of not painting a single mini. I have to work on some mayor problems, but I know where they are. And want to progress. Stay tuned... and you are welcome to comment.
Late morning update. I smoothed greens a little and pictures are better. There is less shining, especially on red. Still a lit to do on her legs, gun and details. How do you think - what color for trousers?
Another late nigh painting. I feel she is more or less finished. I'm not satisfied of armor "redlining". Do you think I should try to blackline it with some wash/cotrast? Sadly metallics don't look as good on photo as live. I think red is ok. Not to orange but not as flat as it was. I also made OSL-ish effect on a hood. What do you think about it? I know pictures are crappy, but I have problem with light at night. I will try to make some good one tomorrow morning.
Ok. I know You are a little tired of her, but I think those are the last ones of her photos - I tried to show OSL better in sunlight. Now just base trimming and LOS stripes and she will be ready for play. How do you think?
Something different. Classic "sneaky Zero". I made "low-visibility" Nomad patch on his left shoulder. The eye (what is almost invisible in this light) is fluo yellow with OSL on helmet (you can see yellow glow). He have combirifle with suppressor. I use supressors on all models with any level of camo. I think it fits well to "Surprise Shot" skill. I have even Supressor on Prowlers Spitfire.
Another OOP Zero. I converted her a little. She lost E-Mauler for a clamped fist and second pistol in holster on left hip. You can see the original, standard right holster on her leg.. She is very triggerhappy gir. ;)
I'm not only painting again, but also made some cleaning on my PC, so here is something interesting form my archive. OPP Shasvastii. I made this army for my friend in 2010 with salamander theme. I wanted something simple, because it was start of Infinity army for my friend who wasn't experienced painter. So schemat was simple - orange spots on brown skin and bare metal armor. Only Cadmus is albino-white, because... He is vampire-like lizard (beacause of Protheion skill). The end was some kinde of albino Earthworm Jim. ;) My friend doesn't liked "lightsaber stick"monofilament weapon of old Speculo Killer, so I made new "lava-blade". It fits well to the all army. I was really happy of this minor conversion. I hope you like it.
@Bors Those Shasvastii look really nice and the fact that the paint scheme is easy makes them better in my eyes. Sometimes simple is better.
Thanks. The same for me. I like simple, easy to duplicate designs. It gives you a lot of options to pop-up with characters or special units. When I finish My Bakunin models (waiting for 2 years to be painted), I will start Tunguska with only 3 colors. Idea is to use only Black and black metalic armor/guns as a base, with some green lights and (maybe) red markings and distinguished elements of uniforms on heros and some special units, like Mary Problems or Jelena.
Looking forward to seeing them. What is the lore behind your force if any or do you have a special idea/design in store for them?
The idea is obvious when you see it... and come from two sources. ;) I feel it fits well to the Tunguska force, based on Hacker and mob suppressing security force. It should be intimidating. And Nomad uniforms works well with this idea. I made kind of test some years ago with my standard painting schemat and yellow glow. It was made for introgaming for one of WarSaw shops. It was interesting but In time i figured out, that: 1. Too much glow lines is too much. This time it will be only in some main recesses of suit and armor. Like vertical lines on legs. On arms of Securitate you can see the effect of "glow between the armor" in studio painting, and that reminded mi of this idea. 2. I like idea of green lights (have some of Vallejo Fluo Green nad Yellow and used it in my Nomad army) and black is the best base/contrast for it. I'm big fan of Green/Black/Red combo. It's very universal and gives you a lot of freedom. 3. I want uniform look for My Tunguska army but not boring. That's why for some special units, like Mary Problems, I want use some other color - likely more red, to give it some personality. But base combo will be black with green light and webbings with some red details. For Bakunin it's green and red/leather details. For Corregidor it should (and some day will be) red suit with some green joints and webbings. That was idea behind my army - same colors, different pattern for any of three ships. On all armor is RMM, because i'm big fan of real metals - My first miniatures were Dwarfs. ;-)
A short brake in painting, because I'm waiting for a new lamp and some conversion bits. I'm testing new basing method - new for me - GSW rolling pin and air dry white sculpting clay. Now trey are dried after 16 hours and I will see what with drillig it. I hope it will work for my Tron themed Tunguska army. I thin triple hex will fit it well.
