I wasn't that into the wolf vibe, and I don't often buy TAGS - so kitbash time! There's a video here on instagram with more info https://www.instagram.com/reel/C_0BcJlSs6f/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet Colour scheme is based on my Armoured Core mech Hope you like! What do you think? I used gundam decals too which were fun. He did okay at Burn City Brawl tournament last weekend, but I'm rusty as hell. 27th out of 51 I think, very happy considering last game was in April I think. Maybe 4 games this year until the tournament! Some more pics here on the conversion, tournament writeup and video coming soonish. https://brutalcities.com/blogs/news/blue-wolf-infinity-conversion
I'm not into conversion at all myself but I can understand what you dislike in the original design and I have to admit that your approach is working with me. PS: nice to see that you're not completely out of the business. I can't wait to see your future releases (3D print or MDF).
Wait, you like my approach and understand my dislike, but don't like the conversion itself at all? Not offended at all but I'd love to know what you don't like about it! And thanks a lot! Yeah too many ideas I still want to bring out hah, last weekends tournament inspired me again too!
Oh sorry. When I say I'm not into conversion, it's a general statement. I don't do it myself but I understand people do some.
I find with Infinity's generous proxy rules I don't usually need to model/convert for a game effect, like I did with certain other sci-fi miniatures games... I added a gun to my Anaconda, since I felt it looked a bit naked without (which no doubt turned on Beba no end). I'm not going to add guns to my TAG Raid Triphammers, even though they will probably mostly be used in Infinity rather than in any civilian setting; they look nice as is. I converted my Kaizoku Spec-ops to be a Yuriko Oda proxy (Oda-san!) by adding a generic handheld tool and an exotic gun, to make it look more engineer-y. I also accidentally bought the Line Kazak SWC box twice, and turned one set into four Brawlers with a headswap (dark Eldar biker helmets work well in Infinity too. Coincidence?). I love conversions, personally, but with metal minis and no "options" parts it is too cumbersome for me to do regularly.
