I have Biotechvore as one mission in a upcoming tournament and hoped you guys could help me by clarify some questions beforehand.
    1. Does the BTS roll a trooper has to make count as being a hit/attack in terms of rule interactions (for examle could SymbioMates be taken against it, as they can only be used if the user has recieved hits from a successful attack)
    2. Do affected trooper have to make a guts roll afterwards and if yes where can they move (Do they try to leave the dangerzone (Biotechvore Area) or do they go prone or somethng else).

    1. I'm a bit uncertain here. On one hand, Biotechvore qualify the requirements for Guts Rolls, but on the other hand it happens outside an order. There has been no proper answer on the old forums that I can find and I've changed opinion on it; I think Biotechvore should cause Guts Rolls on surviving the BTS roll.
    2. Out of the Biotechvore zone (this qualify as a Danger Zone) or go Prone if they can't leave. Same as surviving a dead-centred Speculative Fire attack.

    QUICK SUMMARY
If a troop survives an Attack, at the end of the Order it must make a Normal WIP Roll. In case of failure or forfeit, the troop must try to exit the danger zone or improve its Cover as much as possible—Total Coverbeing preferable to Partial Cover—with up to 2 inches of movement. If it can do neither, the troop must go Prone. If none of these cases applies, the troop does nothing.

    Requirements
Several events can force a troop to make a Guts Roll:

Funny because in the quick summary it says after suffering an attack, but the reqs lack this req.
    What about falling?;)

Thought so, thanks for the clarification.

Thats actually the source of my confusion as i'm not sure what weights more, the Quick Summary or the Requirements.

I don't think it makes much sense to take guts movement in response to falling damage. It's entirely self-inflicted, and there's no possible set of move skills that could hide you from danger. I guess there's some slight drama to ending a fall flat on your face.

Biotechvore makes a little sense, since you could potentially move out of the area if you were right on the edge, but realistically it's not going to come up very often. But on the other hand, it's outside of the order structure. I agree that it's annoying that there's a mismatch about whether or not that is a requirement.

That's because the Guts rules were written with the assumption that the *only* time a unit would take an arm or bts roll was during an order. Another reason why the rules need a rewrite.

I don't see why this demands a rewrite, especially since the Biotechvore rules are specific to that one scenario. There are no other situations I can think of where a unit would take damage not during an order. All it needs is a specification in the scenario writeup about whether or not guts rolls apply and how they ought to apply if they do.
