Hey there guys, I have postponed this moment for so long but I think it is high time that I show you some painted miniatures. I'll start with my oldest work and then I will continue gradually towards my newest ones. I welcome any constructive criticism and advice so I can become a little better at painting.
Note: I'm still new to this so my first few uploads might be a little buggy.

Hey guys, long time no see.
I have been painting for some weeks now to finish my steel phalanx army and I'm almost done. I want to share my most recent paintjob and ask you what can i do to become better painter.

The only thing that I am satisfied with is the skin tone (the quality is obstructed by the bright light).
I find it difficult to highlight the NMM used on this mini, particularly the brass and steel colors.
I have seen pro painters use regular paints and layer all the way up to near-white. I just use the vallejo game color series metals that already are iridescent (brassy brass and natural steel). I tried highlighting them with an off-white glaze that i made myself but it looks like dirty white spots on the armor.

    Any advice at all?

Hosiery is hard... and the suitcase seems a little too clear to me, aside from that quite good!
