Operative Imbooeta sighted down his sniper rifle and estimated range to the Human's robot. They had come to contest a residential area: their mission, to destroy a small device, scout the area, and obtain a biological sample from a target in the area. His temporary unit had come for the same reasons as the Humans, but were sure to prevail over these weaklings. Imbooeta's specific role in this mission, however, was not to achieve any secondary objectives, but to prevent the enemy from doing so by destroying them before they could try themselves. He smirked at the thought that any artificial being or armament could compete with the biotechnology of the Tohaa High Command as he stood and pulled the trigger on his rifle...

Tohaa v Corregidor. Mission: Highly Classified. Score: 4-9.

0: I win the LT roll and choose first turn, both of us are using LI lists. OpFor chooses a side with a sniper tower and a large platform, for his Intruder sniper and TR HMG bot. I place a Clipsos Sniper on the tallest building and a Nikoul on a skyway overlooking the two major firelanes. Except for these ARO pieces both of us are deployed very conservatively.

1a: Sukeul FO moves up and uses a building to block LOF to the TR bot and the Intruder. I spend five orders to move in and get Sabotage (secret classified) as well as Mapping and Net-Undermine. I use three orders on the Clipsos to destroy the TR bot off the table.

1b: OpFor uses the Intruder sniper to shoot my Nikoul several times. Despite the MSV2 on his profile not much happens and the Nikoul does a great job wasting orders before falling unconscious to the DA rounds. The Massacre/Jaguar Haris moves forward to get Net Undermine and uses smoke to Engage my Sukeul HMG. I want to murder the Doctor/Engineer SpecOps to prevent Test Run or Innoculation shared classified but he remains cowering in the back, covered by a long firelane with the Intruder. In hindsight, I should have run in with someone (the Ectros?) on a suicide run to kill the specialist to death, preventing an enemy victory.

2a: I move up the link with the Ectros/Aelis/Sakiel and ignore Massacre and the Jaguars. Later I will regret leaving them as a Haris with the bonus burst to smoke. Move the Clipsos into view of the Intruder Sniper, who I forget has MSV2 and sends the Clipsos unconscious. I want to move the Rasail up the right side in total cover to burn this freaking Intruder, but there are Crazy Koalas blocking the way and I know I'll need the template if I want to do any actual work. Drop the Ectros/Aelis/Sakiel into Suppression Fire and don't achieve much this turn except killing Senior Massacre (yay?).

2b. OpFor accidentally leaves the Jaguars in a Duo so they aren't impetuous. A Gecko comes up and doesn't realize that K1 combis in SupFire are bad news, but gets lucky and only takes two wounds repeating his shooting order and putting Aelis unconscious. The Intruder with Combi shoots the Sakiel through smoke and I think I'll be able to return fire, lose symbiont and fail guts, but in the event my rolls are all misses and the Intruder puts the Sakiel unconscious with one order on the low damage Combi shots. The FO with the Crazy Koalas moves up and manages to ignore my Kosuil combi at bad range (target value 2 on three separate AROs). It also face tanks a mine with no problem and gets Mapping and In Extremis Recovery on my Nikoul who I couldn't defend with ARO because of the Intruder :( I do catch a break and manage to crit on a 2 on the same order as Extremis Recovery though, so I disconnect the Crazy Koalas.

3a: I really want to at least tie on the Objectives because I can see that Test Run will be easy, but can't dislodge the Intruder with my failed F2F rolls, so I can't get at the Gecko. Eventually I decide to spend the remaining orders on the Rasail and burn the Intruder to death, but it is too late for me to get Innoculation or hinder the OpFor.

3b: OpFor intends to sacrifice am impetuous Jaguar with a normal smoke roll but he gets his normal smoke and I somehow miss all three target 13 shots with my Ectros viral combi. The SpecOps uses the smoke to make a WIP 15 roll on the Gecko to win the game. He runs by trying to get a 10-4 victory, but the Ectros does its job with SF this time and the SpecOps is wiped from the board.
