Am I seeing ghost or are baos a viable choice in imperial service now? A Haris of a MSR Bao, a Boarding shotgun Bao und the red fury TA pheasant has all the visors one would like. The BSG for up close the sniper for range and everything in between the red fury. And also a specialist with CoC. And xu zhuang as wildcard might bring mad traps. Might actually play this now. Need to clean a room? Smoke and Boarding shotgun. Pesky ARO? Smoke and MSR. Need to push a button? Specialist. So time for a badass resculpt of the baos right?
They're less shit, but I still wouldn't consider them to be GOOD. At least, not enough to take more than one in a fireteam. But that's where our funky new wildcards come in. Take the MSR, Pheasant, and then toss in a Crane or Xu Zhuang and you might have something alright. I doubt they'll come anywhere close to a mainstay. They've got some problems that run pretty deep still.
Never did I say good. Viable so there is the option to actually play them. I think they might do work in a Haris together with a pheasant, but would have been at their best as wildcardtrooper.
They have 100% Discover chance if within 8" of a Marker, 85% if that Marker has Cover. I think there's a reason for them to get to tag along for the ride for this utility alone, particularly since Impersonators seem to have gotten a cost reduction instead for no good reason, but they're no Kamau or Epsilon and can't into a Core.
Well that ain't happening (I wish). We need to work with what we have now I guess. Sensor is still better for the initial Discover. I'm disappointed they can no longer form a core team. Then Crane could be in the core too. But still, there's some interesting Haris we couldn't do before.
I was expecting them to get the deletion treatment, I'm surprised they held on. Pheasants still pretty bad, red fury is OK but the model is one of the worst of the 3D sculpted era. I'd probably just enlist the 3 Bao profiles as a haris, then delete it to make room for the Devakini haris
