Hi all. am i rightly understand, what Assault CC special skill can't be used in Impetuous phase due to impetuous order resrictions? (Poor Scarface T_T)

You are correct that the list of Impetuous skills is exhaustive.

However, I do consider that the Assault skill itself has an outstanding rules interaction issue where it is defined as a "Move + CC Attack" in its rules whereby I think it can be argued that it does satisfy the Impetuous requirements (and, tangentially related, allow Tanko to Move when Domaru in the same Fireteam Assault)

Well - we now know what if a Skill have trait BS attack - it NOT for sure a BS attack itself.
So i use same logic. Technicaly Assault is a move+ CC, but it CC special skill.... =(

It is funny how some rules appears don't be respectful with the rule idea. With the impetuos order you have to engange if you can, so why not doing this with Assault, like others said before, it is considered as a Mov+CC hability. It is almost the same with super-jump, you don't have to declare it with the impetuous order because is optional and you still declares jump. So, the impetuous need to satisfy the shorter path with the less expending of orders... but you don't if you don't declare jump and use superjump. To me that don't have any sense.

I'am with @Mahtamori Assault is: MOV+CC, so you could do assault with the impetuous order. That my point of view, maybe wrong, but I don't think I don't allow you to do it. Later for sure I will be all the afternoon complaying about you and the dammed hability killing my ARO troops XD.

I think there’s an honest question whether
is changing the order declaration mechanism or whether it’s just explaining roughly what Assault does.
But I think between the Remember and Important! notes on the Assault page it’s clearer that isn’t changing the order declaration mechanics. Because it specifies that you have to declare the Entire Order skill, then declare the two component skills.

To be frank, I think Assault would work so much better if the current version was tossed out and it was rewritten as an Automatic skill which changed how a Move worked if the user committed in advance to declaring a CC attack against a certain model. But for all I know, they tried it the other way, found some problems with the mechanic in testing, and went with this version as the less problematic one.
