Nice paint-jobs indeed. You could set a link to your gallery in your signature, it is both non-intrusive and available in all your posts.
I am a big proponent for keeping things in a single thread, you can point people to a single place and they can do that too if desired, instead of several. In other places like Reddit it will be worth keeping separate threads for separate things since your account easily links them, but in places like forums i believe it's better to keep them in single threads. No solution is perfect and all have issues though, but i think this is the best compromise.
I don't know if there's such thing as private profile on Instagram but as a non user myself all I get is a "please login" page. As @jherazob mentioned there's no perfect choices between one thread for all or one for each, in the end it's up to you. You may want to have a main thread as a gallery but want to start other thread for specific project like WIP, tutorial, whatever. On a personal note, I'd set your signature font to a smaller size.
The thing with a single thread is that people can hit "Watch thread" and easily follow any updates. Instragram, Pinterest and others have become very aggressive against "watching-only".
