If you inflict at least :4: to the target add damage tokens until they have as many as their :T:.

Now... why is it written in such strange words. Wouldn't it be easier to write "If you inflict at least 1 :4: to the Target, send the target to Infirmary."

Could anyone explain, when those strange words are important? If target is next to Maximus?

Maximus, Senor Massacre's Epic Regeneration, future-proofing for other abilities that remove Damage before going to the Infirmary.

One example the immediately comes to mind would be Señor Massacre playing "Epic Regeneration" He gets all the damage but his Tactic saves him from going to the Infirmary. Adamantine protects Maximus a different way being that it nullifies all :2: from Shona's roll. I don't think that Maximus can protect an adjacent ally in this case but I have not thought the situation through completely.

Amputate allows the use of "Epic Regeneration", and does not necessarily imply Massacre goes to the infirmary.
