Advice on a 300pt tourney list

It may be easier to give you some advice if we were to know what scenarios the event is running.

 

My feeling on your list is that you have too few orders to be splitting them up into two even combat groups. For me personally I like to have at least one full combat group in almost all of my lists. Some units, like Scarface, are much better with more orders behind them; otherwise they don't have the activations needed to go into suppressive fire, or back up into the support of other units after an attack run.

Arslan and Scarface together in a list is going to make things pretty tight on points, they are both great so if you want them both just understand that you will have to make cuts somewhere else.

I really don't like either harris option in DBS, with fireteam Duo being so prevalent you are paying a lot for the ability to get +1 burst as you already get the order efficiency with duo.

By having the Brawlers in a second combat group as opposed to the main group where the Druze are, you effectively double the command token cost of reforming your core fireteam. Same with Gromoz.

The missions you are playing all have central objectives which are golden for Hunzakuts. Even with supplies, the doctor will be opening the box on a 15, where the Hunzakut can do it natively on a 14 for fewer orders. My feeling is that you should look at taking a second hunzakut and drop the doctor.

2 of your missions require a decent and durable datatracker, Scarface is perfect for this especially in Power Pack where his speed can make the difference in getting that extra 2 points by holding the console.

You lack surprises, no Saito or Bashis gives up some element of striking where your opponent doesn't expect you to. Power Pack is a great scenario for Bashi Bazouks, as they can come in on the back side and take advantage of deployment errors or hold the console in a pinch.

With Scarface it's impossible to get all the big gun toys (Druze HMG, Clipper, & MSV-2 Sniper) but not having a decent range high burst gun in the Druze core limits their offensive options. When I don't take the HMG I look pretty hard at the Shock Marksman rifle with the x visor it can do some work. Arslan works here too, but the potential to get trapped in your DZ by a longer range ARO is still there, especially with the Saturization zone in Power pack. If you own a Peacemaker, they deserve consideration in almost every DBS list.

You also are not taking any cheerleaders; 8 point Fugazis or Kameels. Fugazi's can beef up your order count and help to offset some of Scarface's cost, synergize well with Pathfinders and are very good ARO units.

My advice is consolidate your battle groups and drop the doctor for a second Hunzakut. There are many other things you can do to tweak the list, but it really comes down to what you want to run and your playstyle.

If it were me, I would likely drop Asrlan to a Brawler or Druze and then see what else I could fit it and beef up the order count.

 

ITS season 9 favors lists with ten orders or more than 12 orders. If I went second and used a strategic command token on you, how much could you accomplish with 4 orders in one group and only 5 in the other? You are better off consolidating and getting 10 full orders, or increasing the size of the main group so you are left with 8 orders even if I strategic command token you.

 

I like that list, although I think drop the nasmt and get a Warcor. The doctor will mainly be doctoring the link which he will be close too, and may want to join it if the sniper dies; which he cannot do with a nasmat in tow.

If the Nasmat is with Cordelia, well you probably want her in a Duo with Joe so he doesn't frenzy.
