Hi everone, like many of you, I have been looking for 3d printable terrain that could be used for Infinity. Unfortunately most terrain had either a humongous amount of skulls or cogs on them or would have cost quite some money. That was when I decided to make my own terrain. Now that I am finished with the first batch of parts, I wanted to share everything with you and hope that you like it. I uploaded everything on Cults3d here. And here is the link to the stairs add-on. And here is the link to the gangways add-on. And here is the link to new subfloors add-on. The set is designed to be printed with FDM-printers. Many parts can be printed without support except for the walls with doorframes and windows or some of the accessoires. The set consists of different types of base plates, walls, doors, windows and other small stuff. Everything can either be simply plugged together or, if it should be more riggid, glued together. These are some ways that these parts can be put together. The buildings are hollow, if you want to play with interiors. All the doors and windows can be used in an open or closed configuration, simply by putting them into some slots in the walls. The whole set is free to download. The biggest joy for me would be seeing some of these buildings on the tables of some official tournaments. I hope you like the set. This is planned to only be the beginning. I want to expand the set by adding steps, bridges, walkways and other stuff in the coming weeks or months. If you have any ideas for some nice parts or any questions, please post it in this thread. Have fun with this Cheers Matthias
That's really generous of you, many thanks! The terrain looks superb for Infinity, and even has interiors. When I grab my FDM printer I'll be chucking these on there for sure!
Hey, I am happy you like it. I am woking on a set of stairs right now. Here are some spoilers. I will try to have it finished by next weekend.
Hey everyone, I just wanted to announce that the stairs add-on for the buildings set is finished and can be downloaded here. Of course for free. Here are some impressions of the set. You will still be able to play in the insides of the buildings. And your miniatures are also safe from falling down the stairs thanks to the "anti-topple device" that comes with the set ;-) I hope you have fun with the set. If you have any questions or suggestions please just contact me. Cheers Matthias
Looks like prefabricated/ easy to build buildings maybe for colonial outposts and it so happens that N5 fluff centers around that, nice timing. Also nice with the anti topple device. Have you considered AC units for the exterior?
Hi, yes, I planned to add more details that can be attached to the walls by the magnet solution. There are three different sizes of ventilation and some other stuff in the sets at the moment. For details I could also imagine some kind of solar panels, satellite antennae or simple decorative patterns. I'm still collecting more ideas, so please keep them coming. Right now I want to concentrate on adding more stuff that makes the set more "useable" like walkways and a group of smaller groundplates that can be glued together to create more various forms. Also I want to add a grid pattern to the bottom of the groundplates that allows them to be placed on top of the walls with an overhang. At the moment the small bumps on the walls avoid the plates to sit flush. I tried this with the ground- and topplates for the stairs set, but unfortunaltely I miscalculated by 2.5 mm so it does not work yet. Other stuff I already got on my agenda are e.g. - stairs that have a 90 degree bend in them so you can place them around building corners - with this i could imagine some kind of "half floor" to raise the buildings slightly off the ground - groundplates and walls with a 60° or 120° bend to allow for making hexagonal buildings - groundplates and walls that are round with a radius of 50 mm, If possible with removable doors - planters for trees or other vegetation that fit into and around the building corners I still hope to keep the pace up.
Hey everybody, I am happy to announce the next set. This time you will be able, to build gangways and bridges. Here are a few images of possible builds. You can download this set here. (For free of course.)
Hey everyone, I just wanted to announce a new add-on for the buildings set. This time its called "Subfloors". It includes all parts to either: - raise the buildings by about 20 mm. This way normal infantry will not be able to see into the windows from street level. You can enter the raised buildings by small stairs that are also in ths set - raise the gangways and bridges, so that TAGs finally fit underneath them - build small plateaus to break the line of sight. You can find the set here. And here are some images of examples what will be possible. As always, I hope you enjoy this set and I am looking forward of seeing your builds here on the forum. Cheers Matthias
Nice, I think you can make an "objectives room" type building this this. If not it is worth considering the raised platform with the Fiday on it looks like it.
Out of curiosity, how much would you be willing to sell a bundle for and send to Australia? Say, a set of buildings to cover half a 4ft x 4ft table with an objective room.
And I wonder, wouldn't it be easier to download the files, which are free, and find someone who can print them for you in your area?
