    Hello, dear infinity community...
Suddenly, I start thinking I've been playing wrong following things:

    1. DTW and Close Combat. Can daturazi with chain rifle, in its active turn come to base-to-base with enemy miniature, and after enemy declares his ARO, shoot with chain rifle to a figure he has come in b2b with? I'm starting to think that he can't as everything is simultaneous, and it would mean daturazi shall attack himself as DTW weapon damages every figure in engage state?

    2. Do drop bears have mimetism?

    3. There was rules update for cadmus, ad:combat jump and seed-embryo. Can cadmus deploy without using AD? Just normal deploy in deployment zone?

    Thank you in advance!

    1. Yes, because Direct Template Weapons don't affect the user. Otherwise they'd always hit the firer by being placed in base contact with the firer!

    IMPORTANT!
Even in contact with the Template, troopers declaring an Attack with a Direct Template weapon are not affected by it, unless the description of such weapon states the contrary.

    2. Yes. They become Antipersonnel Mines when they land, and Mines have Mimetism.

    3. You can deploy the Cadmus normally, or with Combat Jump. But you can't use lower levels of Airborne Deployment.

You would still have to deploy them as embryos/decoys, though, wouldn't you?

Seed-Embryo is an obligatory skill so you have to use it at deployement

Decoy is not so you are not forced to use it (so you can deploy as a perfectly indetifiable seed embryo if you want)

Right. I was merely acknowledging that "normally deploy" might imply "in the developed shape" for a newbie.
