    Hi there!

Last saturday was a small tournament we played in Aachen - it should've been a story driven team tournament but as a lot of players got ill before we were left with just 12 and the organizer decided that we'll play a normal tournament then instead.
I intented to bring Spiral and play in an NA2 Merc Team, but when I got the message Friday evening I switched spontaneously to O-12 and clicked 2 not very well thought through lists for the following missions:
Acquisition / Capture & Protect / Safe Area

    My lists were:

    C&P

The second list was definetly more a fun than anything else, but my thought was that a couple of sturdy and expensive models were a good fit for Acquisition and Safe Area.

I will just do a quick runthrough because I didn't take any pictures and just do some quick notes before I forget everything :D

Upon hearing that my opponent in the 1. round was going to be Tohaa I quickly ditched the thought of choosing LI and took my 1. list - against Tohaa I like having a couple miniatures more on the field.
That proved to be the right choice as my opponent had an 18 order list of Tohaa with a Spitfire Rasail Team, Draal with AP Marksman, lots of cheap troopers and so on.
There is not really much to say about this game, my opponent and I agreed that I had some bad luck with the dice and got steamrolled pretty hard - end of game I had roughly 100 points surviving while my opponent lost the Rasail Team...
But I actually managed to win this game 3:2 because of some good luck in the last turn!
My opponent got and controlled 1 Antenna on the left and then went up the central building to the middle antenna where my Gangbuster already were in contact. He threw smoke so I couldn't use my supressive fire, but when the Makaul went up the stairs my Lynx shot him dead. That left him with my Gangbuster in smoke so he couldn't shoot him. Draal (still with Pokemon and Symbioarmor) then went into CC to try and finish him off, but I managed to win the CC 3 times and so denied him the 5 points of his Draal Datatracker being in contact with the middle antenna^^ In my last turn my Sirius FO activated and controlled the other antenna and my Varangian could secure his hvt, so I actually won with a 3:2 what probably should have been a clean sweep.

Second I got matched against a Military Order player who brought Joan, a Link of Santiago's with an HRL Order Sergeant and ML Father Knight, a Tech-Bee and a Haris of Knights.
The bad luck from turn 1 continued on the first turn - for example my Varangian failed her smoke throw 3 times an a 17... and I managed to do absolutly nothing on my first turn exept doing a wound on Joan. He also dodged and tanked everything like a champ.
He destoryed a couple of my minis in his turn and fulfilled Sabotage (which would be important!).
During my turn I gave everything I had to my Spec-Op Lynx. And he did work! Killing 3 Knights overall and fulfilling my classified.
His 2 turn then saw my Lynx finally go down after a couple of Orders, but he basically had no one to go and threaten my beacon. In my last turn I had no possible chance to get to his beacon either, so I killed Joan with my Betatrooper to make sure that nothing else would happen.
At the end both of us had ~130 points surviving, no beacon was touched but his classified was worth a point more because it had a gear on it...Really not a fan of that mission design to get more points or deny points based on a symbol on the card...
It was a great game though and absolutly no hard feelings against my opponent! Just not a fan of the mechanic in general ;-)

Last game saw me facing PanO once again, but vanilla this time.
My opponent was a regular and also had brought a fun list, so I chose my fun list as well (and I really wanted to play it at least once). He had Joan, Hawkwood, a HMG Swiss Guard, Jammer Zulu-Cobra, Uma, Croc Man FO, Tech-Bee, WarCor, Monstrucker and a Red Fury Helot.
The match startet good for him, critting both my TR Bot and the Dakini sniper dead with his Swiss Guard, after that he used his orders to get in a better position, unglued his Swiss Guard with the Monstrucker (MadTraps are a godsent) and killed the Gangbuster himself afterwards.
My turn saw the FO Omega going rampage, gluing the Swiss Guard again, but also making sure it stays that way, as he killed the Monstrucker, Tech Bee, Zulu-Cobra and Croc Men during my turn...
Omega might very well be my favourite unit in the whole army.
His 2. turn he put a dent in my aro piece Gamma and in NWI he rather went into full cover. Also I think the Betatrooper and Omega each got a wound, bot I lost nothing more that game.
My 2. turn saw then the HMG Omega killing Uma & the Helot and putting a wound into Joan.
His third turn was trying to kill my HMG Omega in CC with Hawkwood, but when it rains it pours so I just saved his arm roll everytime...
Thrid turn for me then was just putting the Swiss Guard down with my FO Omega (also Liason officer) who then sprinted to a console while also securing the HVT from that position, as well as Cho & Betatrooper doing the same and the Gamma went also into a quadrant, which meant end of the match was a 9:0 for me.
At last I was 5/12 place, which was ok for fun lists created just a couple hours before, but the loss in the second match still stung a bit (probably not as much as the loss in round 1 for my opponent there though)

A couple of general points I took from that day:
    - MadTraps & Omega are just excellent. We knew that before, got confirmed again
    - The Lynx with Plasma is a great attack piece, the Multi Sniper was a whole waste. Sure it was a bit of bad luck that he missed the 2 shots he had, but as much as I want to like TO Snipers, the single burst in aro makes them too easy to kill and not reliable enough for the cost
    - Cho was cosplaying a Lambda engineer in all games and noone suspected her, she is a really great piece - probably more people will look out for her when O12 becomes more widely known and when she is more established
    - LI list can be a lot of fun, if the opponent runs a similar amount of orders. Gamma, multiple Omega and Betatrooper all together make for a quite tanky list.
    - O12 is a lot of fun and I'm looking forward testing more list variants, like (multiple) Delta, (multiple) Epsilon, maybe the Zeta...
