As simple as it sounds but... In ARO, does a figure with Total Reaction and +1 Burst, get that bonus burst? Some seem to think it's only in Active turn.
It needs an official answer because in N4 the answer was definitively bust bonus only applies in active with the exception of link team bonus. however N5 has units like Turrets that can’t fire active turn that have total reaction and +1 burst so clearly the intention is for that to apply in reactive.
and where in the rules is defined what a full burst is? And dont tell me page 36 of the rules, because is not.
Yeah "full burst" is used here but not definied. For me its clear that this mean B of the weapon incl mods.
For me, full burst is the (B) showed in the weapon chart, without mods. That sentence only reminds you that IN ACTIVE TURN, your full burst must include all modifiers. But total reaction rule say nothing about using you active turn burst as ARO burst, like Neurocinetic does.
Okay. In Neuro its mentioned that all B mods apply in the reactive. In TR is only mentioned full burst.35 states full burst and adds incl all the mods. Yes its differs, but without the B mod in reactive the Thunderbolt TR REM makes not much sense. So I agree: Wait for FAQ
Then what's the point of some armed turrets with +1 B? They can only shoot in ARO but have total reaction.
that's the reason we think that the intended interaction is that those units can use B mods in ARO, but right now, RAW, they cant. Option A: Change the rules Option B: make turrets neurocinetics instead of total reaction Thunderbolt TR bots can stay like now, B2 in ARO and B3 in active is not bad for 0 SWC 18 points
I’m pretty sure the intent is that “full burst” includes MODs for the purposes of both TR and Neurocinetics. Notably, the language in Neurocinetics about applying Burst MODs only in the reactive turn is a restriction that prevents the unit from applying them in the active turn.
