Someone asked me to make this and i told them i would. Was just slow. Here is my tactical review of our danavss hd+. So I'm going to use my achilles list as the examples throughout this post to better explain what I'm talking about. So prepare for the ramble and here we go xD Spoiler: Achilles List Achilles ────────────────────────────────────────────────── GROUP 1 10 ACHILLES Lieutenant Spitfire, Nanopulser / Pistol, EXP CCW. (0 | 8) LAMEDH Rebot Flash Pulse, Sniffer / Electric Pulse. (0 | 8) WARCOR (Aerocam) Flash Pulse / Stun Pistol, Knife. (0 | 3) 6 SWC | 300 Points Open in Infinity Army So danavas is 25 points and 0.5 swc. She is bs 11, wip 15, a hd+ with maestro and has a pitcher and combi. If you have to use her combi, you are probably in a bad situation. We are going to talk about what a hd+ does and why they are so strong. Moving her 0" in a game and just using her programs is capable of swinging the game. There isn't much to discuss of her outside her hd+ as that is her entire existence. I will be talking about repeaters at the end as those certainly play a part in her influence. The 5 programs that i use a lot of time is: Marksmanship level 2 support ware White noise Maestro Cybermask Oblivion So lets go over them one by one. Marksmanship lvl2: As you can see in my list, i love both the tr bot as well as the dakini hmg. The reason for that for when anyone fights anyone, both people have cover. While that isnt 100% true, it is true in most cases. With this assumption, a tr bot/dakini hmg has a bs of 14. I had a tr bot with supportware fight a 5 man link teamed gulam hmg. The odds were 40% him vs 30% me of wounding each other. Those are great odds for a defensive piece. The dakini is even stronger with danavas support due to its mimitism and smaller S which allows it to be a great hunter killer in the active turn. The way to think about it is with danavas support, our hmg rems have the same balistic skill as an asura and greater than or equal to all but achilles, marut and atalanta bs attribute. This is extremely powerful for such a low cost. White noise: The first thing about white noise that people dont know is it can be used as an aro. And it doesnt have to be anywhere near the cause of the aro. For instance, if an impetuous enemy model walks by a repeater (scyllas bot, pitcher and lamedh are good causes of those aros), you can respond with white noise on top of that tr bot staring at the entire board. The amount of msv sniper/hmg waiting for smoke+shoot is pretty high, and not being able to fight the tr bot is very important. The other thing is the standard usage of white noise, putting it down so a suped up dakini hmg or some other powerhouse to kill their msv aro is very strong regardless. Maestro: This is the program that danavas uses that makes her more than just a support piece as described so far. There is no hacker in the game that she isnt favored to win with this program available to her. The only difference between this hd+ and a khd for lethality is having her attack through enemy repeaters. And she doesnt want to fight through enemy repeaters if she could anyways. The reason is strolling into enemy repeaters can cause multiple enemy hackers to react, instead of the target goal. This is a suicide mission where the danavas has good reason to keep living. Its sucks when the naga dies the suicide mission, but that is the job of the naga khd that game. Die for the greater good. The danavas has many roles and so death of a suicide mossion is not worth it. Cybermask: So my list you can see i have 5 repeater bots and pitchers as well. This gives a weakness to active turn killer hackers who dont want the danavas doing all her great work. How to handle this is to cybermask. While cybermask is great for surprise shooting/hacking and fir moving uncintested. Danavas uses this for another purpose, the ability to not be hacked from her repeaters unless she wants to be. This is useful because you cannot declare discover through a repeater like you can in lof so no # of orders is getting you out until its her active turn, or a juicy rem/HI or assault hacker walks on by and you want to mess up their day. The downside to cybermask is you cannot have marksmanship up at the same time., so it is a fine line to determine what has more value, her life or the tr bot destroying everything. While the dakini is great with marksmanship but he doesn't need it in the reactive turn (The dakini hides in the reactive tuen and lets others defend him). The tr bot or cybermask are great last group 2 order usages to bunker down and weather the enemies active turn. Oblivion/Gotcha: This is how you mess up HI/rems. The general attack to do would be to oblivion the target as the attack is higher damage and success removes that model from being really active the rest of the game. But gotcha has its place, its effective because the oblivioned model is still there and generally still needs to die. Gotcha stops them now and helps when you kill them on your turn. And to get out of gotcha when they are still in repeater range is actually quite hard, and then you can respond with oblivion and have both debuffs them. Also gotcha in active turn is far more effective than oblivion is due to the higher burst. As long as you don't give the reactive model a chance to reset, the reactive model will need to be saved by another model or they cannot be an active turn threat next turn. For HIs this is extremely critical as HIs are active turn threats in almost all cases, so restricting that is very powerful. Repeaters: How to make repeaters work. The first thing is flash pulse bots. Its weird spending orders on such a pathetic creature. But at 6-6 move, the model is one of the fastest things in the game. This model is great at running into a corners near the bottle neck of an oncoming pain train and just hide so its hacking area stops them cold. All my none LI have 2 flash pulse bots, in the second combat group. Removing them is not an option. They are decent aro pieces, their sniffers come up, and in the 2nd pool they have the orders to run around without impacting my hmgs and their deaths equally have no real impact. Their lives have impacts. Also, the danavas has pitchers herself, great for poking head near to her target and shooting 8-16" away, then hack away. White noise and maestro is especially great as they are short skill actions so danavas can back up while doing her work. Conclusion: Danavas hd+ is powerful to the point of auto include. Perfect for 2nd order pool as then she has some spare orders to give your main pool all the advatages that info war can provide. A super buffed dakini, white noised achilles, and dead enemy hackers are all options for this beast of a women.
Very nice and solid approach. Definitely I have to try it. Enviado desde mi SM-J330FN mediante Tapatalk
I played a near identical list recently in a tournament and it was brutal. Really shone in Biotechvore actually due to the speed and versatility
Scylla+Danavas is a nuts amount of hacking board control. Scylla's repeaters can move a ludicrous distance away from her if you treat them like fast pandas, but with the addition of cybermask on them and you can suprise your opponent by having one be scylla instead and doing a direct hack with her.
There is no way the opponent can be surprise, even if you use cybermask, he will know which marker is Scylla. But that's not a problem since you can always hack through the repeater even with Scylla, though i wouldn't recommand it unless she is your last hacker, since she's not that good and losing her means her bots would go inactive.
