I'm still a big fan of the original Dr Strange.

It suffered from the comparisons everyone made to Iron Man, but the film it'self is excellent and pays off well both in Thor Ragnarok and in Avengers Infinity War.

By the way... Was it me, or the "Arcade Defenders" game that teen Groot was playing had the exact same logo as Marvel Defenders? Kind of stood out to me, as I was secretly expecting some sort of cameo from those Netflix shows, but that kind of cameo took me off guard.

Also, completely unexpected was the return of Red Skull, but it was masterfully weaved in the story, being that he was apparently destroyed by the tesseract, which was in fact holding the Space infinity stone, hence being teleported instead of destroyed. Its a shame that Hugo Weaving was not there, but I had no complaints with his substitute.

Funny thing is that I'm currently playing the new God of War, and Tyrion played Eitri in Avengers. Eitri...also known as Sindri....who is one of the dwarfs who made the new Kratos axe...and Thor receives a new axe from Eitri/Sindri...

Well, I loved this stupid coincidence xD

I saw a thing yesterday that there's a gauntlet you can get in God of War with three sockets on it, and there's 6 stones in the game analogous to the Infinity Stones, and when you put three of them in the gauntlet you get a powerful attack from it.

I have to say, I was pretty impressed by this movie. It took one of my favorite stories when I was younger and gave it a mature spin that made me love every second of it as much as I loved every page of The Infinity Gauntlet.

Thanos was smashing! (Literally and figuratively) The Soul Stone scene where Thanos starts to cry felt like a punch in the gut for me. As a father of a 4 year old girl, I actually felt his pain in having to sacrifice his little girl "For the Greater Good".

That alone placed Thanos in my Hall of Great Movie Villains.

His appraisal (and approval) of Starlord as Gamora's boyfriend only made that scene worse, because in retrospect, he was being sincere.

Yeah, I didn't buy the "tears for the Soul Stone" and felt like it was the one moment where the portrayal of Thanos wavered.

But you're right about the scene with him and Starlord in Knowhere. He was just being straight with them. In fact, he is basically just straight with everyone the whole time.

I think it's because they just SAY that Thanos loves his little Gamora, they never showed us. We always saw it from Gamora's perspective and it is "a bit" on her side of the story...

IMO this is the only part that was worth more time, but maybe we'll see these moments in the next part. The Soul gem will do its work...

Did anyone stay after the credits?

Captain Marvel is 10 months away but that little teaser gave me chills!

Given that i have very big gaps in my "nerdy education" i really know nothing about her, therefor all this did was making me curious. But even with all the shock and pain seeing Samuel L. Jackson going "Motherf..." made me chuckle
The second time i saw it there were some people who did get up and i was like "Have you learned nothing in these damn 10 freaking years?!?!"

He had the Avengers for New York.

Also they weren't planning the Captain/Ms. Marvel film back then.

I slapped my best friend for standing up. The poor guy was just stretching his legs.

At New York he had a Hulk. Up until Thanos, that meant Earth Mightiest Heroes were invincible.

I was kind of annoyed by the Thor redesign, sleeveless eyepatch Thor in a half cape was the best.

Chris Hemsworth's comic timing is still brilliant though.

There was more or less 50 people on the cinema watching the movie, at the start of the end credits, 3/4 parts left the cinema.

Can I say tho, that something is terribly wrong when people say that the best part of a movie is what comes after it ends?

It feels like something that shouldn't be happening.

They got Ross Marquand (Aaron on TWD). He is amazing at voices. I never would have known it wasn't Hugo until the credits (I made sure yo look and couldn't remember why I knew that name).

Chris Hemsworth is a fucking gift.

And when they did the Etri reveal/entrance, that was awesome. I wish I could have been in the room when they decided that's what they were doing with the dwarfs and then when they told Dinklage.
