Glad to see You back in the New Forum, Fuyu. . . . .!!! After all the hype about Wotan's Gate this Summer I feared that You felt a little "cold" about Infinity, but seems it were issues far more important. . . As usual Your reports and stories are entertaining and interesting. . . . .

Excellent story as always, Shogun! I was wondering how all this talk of Japanese Rebellion was going to affect your character. Seems like he's going to have his plate full all the way to the next Campaign.
To be honest I thought the story was a bit hasty at the end, I wanted to show that these specific "old traditional" Tatenokai members would carry out their attack in a classic "Murder them with the sword" kind of way, but obviously a high ranking Yu Jing officer wouldn't go to such a meeting unprepared, and a Hac Tao HMG just makes short work of such an attempt....so the "dramatic betrayal" (though quite obvious right from the start) turned out more like a "dramatic suicide run"...but oh well ^^ I intend to give the Tatenokai a bit more "dangerous" spotlight in my next story part when I get around to it though, so hopefully they won't cross over as quite so "weak" then. As for Shogun Fuyu...frankly I'm still struggling with the fact he rose up the ranks so quickly, it makes storytelling a bit odd, but then I found the fact that a nobody like myself actually managed to achieve Field Marshal Rank during a global campaign too funny as to not include somehow :-P It does however make the story even more "Fuyu glorifying" than it already was, so hopefully I'll manage to tone it down a little over time. I do wonder how things with the JSA will turn out in the next days/weeks...this whole thing gives a lot of fun story development opportunities, but I'd hate to see JSA fully split from Yu Jing as it'd make it way harder to field them for me...but we'll see, maybe it's all just a tiny side story to roll out the JSA Starter Box, Invincible Starterbox, or even the Ikari Group Sectorial, as they supposedly were hired by Yu Jing before to deal with pesky japanese rebels....

Excellent thoughts on the "Forced Evolution" of Your Army composition in the Fluff, as it was "Deus-Ex-Machinaed" on You (and many other "Mixed Forces" Players of Yujing Armies) and You managed to roll with it. . . But if I remember well there are some Characters of Your Army that are unmistakable "Chinese" or NOT-Nihonjin in any case, and You described the Chinese ones as competent and well organized without undue "Racism". . . Perhaps You could consider that, while Your main "Uprising Box" new Army "Core" is what You described still, and behave as an "Honourable Bushi Warband" as it was intended WITHOUT being "Kuge-Brainwashed Puppets" then the I.S.S. Zonnghuos coud behave as they are intended, a stern but fair "Military Police" and not some "G.I. Joe Cobra" mix of Nazi Gestapo / Balkan Ustascias / Psychotic Mass-Murderers. . . This could be a problem in complex Torunament environment, but (at least in "Storied Reports" written from YOUR perspective) it could be a "Non-Lethal Competition" between "Honourable Space Wuxia Heroes" (who struggle against the "Genocide Division" Commands of "Kill ALL Japanese Dogs !!!") and "Honourable Space Samurai" (who struggle with the Psycho-Kuges screaming "Kill ALL Not-JapaneseDogs !!!"). . . PERHAPS it could be entertaining to "Deviate" from the officially imposed-from-above "Canon Fluff" (obviously does NOT bother with the next "Wotan-Styled" Tournament, as We have seen Character-Fluff as meaningless in those istances in the last Summer Event !!). . . Your Wife plays excellently Her Ariadnan Caledonians and You usual L.G.S. Fellows have their own Armies (I believe the most frequent adversary have Pan-Oceanians ??) but SOMETIMES could also be amusing to Play "New Fuyu Hatamotos" versus "The Old Neon-Jo Police" by providing one different Army to one of Your opponents. . . I know it is complicated but I think that could be amusing to see Your brand new "Samurai-Bot" slugging against the old "Horned Oni Guijia" amongst flimsy paper-houses as IF they are Gojira and Gamera in an old "Monsterpocalypse Movie" (while around Techno-Ninjas battle against Lu-Bu and its squad of "Chinese Supercops". . .!!). . . . .
As for the non japanese parts of the army, I think I managed to come up with a good idea to separate the two parts of the forces without causing too much unnecessary bloodshed or displaying anyone of them as incompetent or ignorant. I just now finished my next chapter (which will be uploaded today in the evening if everything works out) which will describe how the main character Yasashii Fuyu manages to "flee" from the scene, BEFORE the Uprising actually started due to certain circumstances. With this I hope to show that ISS wasn't incompetent all the way, and that it's only due to luck, good friends and allies, good timing, and competence on the JSA side, that things didn't end up way worse for the JSA (at least those described in my story). Due to this break, and a little time jump that will eventually have to happen over the course of the story, as I'd otherwise have to write 10+ fluff chapters before the campaign begins, which I don't think I'll manage, I hope I can achieve a separation of the forces in a fair way, because as you mentioned, the non japanese characters described so far are far from fools or incompetent, and just cause CB decided to let Yu Jing behave like Team Rocket, doesn't mean that I intend to do the same with my own crew! They surely deserve better!. I am not too sure if my forces will ever meet on the battlefield in a real battle report, as I don't feel too comfortable "fighting myself" would be any fun to see for anyone, and I don't think anyone in my group would actually WANT to play my Yu Jing...my close friends I play the most with are kinda scared of them as is ;-P So either I'll manage to fight someone else who plays Yu Jing in my area (though I think there is only one other person that I'm aware of, the other one playing JSA) though chances of that happening any time soon in a setting where I could properly take pictures are sadly very unlikely, or I'll try to make a fluff story encounter and take some pictures for it on my table to make it look more alive. At the moment I lean towards the later option, as it's obviously way easier to actually do, and I have some very nice terrain to show off anyways. So yeah.....I hope I'll manage to write things more or less in a interesting and fair way....it will take me quite a while to describe this change, especially since work is heating up a lot in the next few days/weeks, but I hope in the end it will be worth reading for you guys! If there is any area in particular that you'd like to see or read about, please let me know, maybe I can try to put some focus or a side story on it in there! If you have a favorite character you'd like to know about during the Uprising Events, say so, maybe I can make a little update for it :-) I think you especially mentioned the Guija....that one will be a tough cookie! I'll actually need to re-read our conversations and my reports, for I'm not 100% sure at the moment if the pilot itself was actually japanese, half japanese, or just a fan of japanese culture, but if you paid close attention to the pictures on my Blog, you will have noticed that she will serve in the role of a Ryuken in the future due to certain circumstances and problems with the "cast" system of the japanese....So in fact she and her "Oni-chan" will be separated!!! A fact that frustrated me a little as I really enjoyed converting that TAG...but it should make for a more interesting character as a result! Anyways, look forward to my next chapter hopefully dropping this evening! It's not ultra exciting, but it's the beginning of things to come!

I love the new Blog setting. And I really enjoyed the story as well. I came across a similar problem regarding "fighting yourself". The main antagonists of my Wrecking Belles during the Treason Season are a Rogue Bakunin Black Lab, so I've resorted to play every game that will make it to my narrative as if the Belles were fighting Mercenaries or Partners of their Enemy. In my case it's not a problem, since most of my local players don't actually follow my stories closely.
