This time I'm really in late xD, anyway, glad to see the new Thora box and the new Morlock, I need both and I really like their style, the KCroc one is amazing, I love suicide squad only just for him xD.
The warcor has a goofy pose. ...But dem Thorakitai! Not only is it about damn time, but they look solid!
Those warcor already gives me alot of N2 flashbacks... Yes, Thorakitai are the real winner this month imo, seconded by the Charontid.
Nothing that jumps at me to buy it. Maybe I'll get the new Charontid sometime next century to convert into a hacker.
The new "not Xeodron not Overdron not Avatar" looks nice, and the paintjob makes him look different that the other CA's TAGs. But it's too bulky on the upper part (seems very unbalanced), and the demon skin doesn't help.
It's kinda funny... We complained the Overdron looked too similar, we complained the Avatar looked too similar, we complain the Charontid looks too different. ;P I gotta admit, he's growing on me slowly. He looks like a bully.
No, I'm complaining that it ALSO looks too similar (that's why I called it "not Xeodron not Overdron not Avatar""). I just make a note to point that the paintjob makes him look different.
Ah, I misunderstood. I've seen others go that route, so that's how I interpreted your statements. I think he looks a fair bit different. The Overdron didn't skip leg day.
I was wondering what that thing is, but I came to the conclusion "futuristic 3D recorder" (aka camera)
What's with the Croc repack of the derpy hacker? We saw nifty new concept art for a new one over a year ago...? Thorakitai look pretty snazzy!
New warcor is clearly supposed to be throwing a camera drone into the air while absolutely pegging it to get out of harm's way. The more I look at the new morlocks the less rage I feel about them. I think the main fault is that for a bunch of drug-fuelled crazies they are a bit static. Though I would have liked to have seen homages to the old morlocks more than some blatantly obvious movie/comic franchise that I absolutely hate. But now we've got some decent pics it looks like it won't be too difficult to remove the references from them (and yes, when I get back into Bakunin I will be de-colossusing the one in the starter too). I guess one of the other problems with making very unsubtle references to other IP is that you alienate those that don't particularly like said IP. Tbh I hate on the new morlocks more because I absolutely loathe Suicide Squad (haven't seen the movie, and vowed I never will, and thanks to the unrelenting hype-train that accompanied the movie, will never engage in that particular IP in any meaningful way) than because the models look like them
Calling Suicide Squad a movie is a bit harsh. Overly long trailer or "meet the gang" is more accurate ;) Don't worry, you didn't miss anything. The fact that the movie was so bad made me surprised that they turned up as pop culture reference in Infinity. Seriously, you had three (!) rounds of introducing the characters.
@Mahtamori Suicide Squad was dead to me before it was even released. It had such an unrelenting, forced-in-your-face, ridiculous hype-train that I was completely and utterly sick of Suicide Squad months before the movie was even released. The only way I can describe how Suicide Squad marketing felt to me, would be to imagine doing your grocery shopping, and there's a new brand of soft drink, but instead of a poster or some flyers or a coupon, there's a chap who follows you around the supermarket, smashing you in the face with a tennis racket with the logo on it every time you put a product in your trolley.
I Charontid does look really cool. I love the head crown thing. Really gives it that overlord/leader feel and role.
