Checking the Sophotec in Infinity Army tool, I see that an icon with "CUBE 2.0" is represented at the side of this unit. I cannot find what does it mean.
    Could somebody please explain?

    Thanks

Cube 2.0 is a cube with additional rules for the paradiso compaing.

Basically if they die they autopass their CUBEVAC roll where most players are screwed.

The kick in the teeth is if they play CA they auto fail it.

For the sake of posterity, the old thread on the previous forum:

The following is the response which Palanka marked correct when someone asked what Cube 2.0 did:
    Disclaimer: I wrote the post.

But, this is the chronologically last know version of the Cube 2.0 rules.

    FAQ
Do Aleph Remote Presence troops have Cube 2.0?

No, only those ALEPH troops possessing a Cube have a Cube 2.0. The updated text the wiki for Cube 2.0 should be considered an update rule listed in the printed book.

    Remember that G:Mnemonica says:
    "
Troopers with G: Mnemonica do not have a Cube.
    "

    Edit:

The revised Cube 2.0 wording on the wiki:
    "

Cube: The miniature has a recording Cube, so if he dies and his Cube is recovered, he can be resurrected to accomplish future missions. Some game campaigns can offer this possibility. Cubes are completely Disabled if their bearer fails their BTS Roll against E/M Special Ammunition.

Figures with Cubes are vulnerable to EI Sepsitor viral attacks.

    Cube 2.0
This model of Cube facilitates recovery by CUBEVAC. The Cube 2.0 allows to its user to automatically succeed at the CUBEVAC Roll, without rolling any dice.
The benefits of the Cube 2.0 are only applied when playing a campaign, and only to those troops who appear in the Spec-Ops chart as possessing the Cube 2.0 in their profiles.
The Cube 2.0 is vulnerable to E/M Special Ammunition and to the Sepsitor.
It is considered that all ALEPH troops possessing Cube shown in the Infinity Human Sphere book, as well as all
those troops possessing the G: Mnemonica Special Skill, have a Cube 2.0.
    "

    Doctor says:
    "
If the target is a trooper with a Cube, then the Doctor may expend one Command Token to reroll his failed WIP Roll.
    "

As far as I can tell: Cube 2.0 isn't Cube. They're not leveled skills, G:Mnemonica models proceed to have a Cube 2.0 and not have a Cube. While Aleph models with Cube would have Cube 2.0 as well.

@ijw Is there anyone to pester about getting Cube 2.0 added to the "in use but 2nd edition" section of the N3 wiki?

thank you for your post. I was looking at steel phalanx and trying to find why Army print them as Cube 2.0 when the wiki says absolutely nothing about it. so outside of paradiso there is absolutely no difference.

    Correct, it's just for campaigns.

But who knows what will happen with the campaign/Spec-Ops rules in Daddy's Fall!
