So from reading the (very cool, and indeed the best part of the book) merc fluff in the Uprising book, several other companies have been mentioned other than the ones we have. The Big Five merc companies are StarCo, Ikari, the Foreign Company, Dashat Company and the White Company. So what do we know about these groups, and are we going to see them in the future? The RPG core notes that the Foreign Company are a superstar company with lots of maya and media contacts, very flashy and cool. And in Uprising, it's noted that Dashat doesn't really ask about your past records when you join. But that's all I can find! So post your knowledge, speculation and desires here...
White star is lead by a recreation, IIRC of a really famous Swiss mercenary commander, its the guy with the cigar in the mercenaries artwork .
So white star has been renamed to white company? I was wrong on the origin of its leaders recreation, its John Hawkwood.
See some info here. He was most famous for his mercenary career; joining and rising to commander of the Great Company (or the White Company). This company was arguably one of the most successful of its time, and Hawkwood was praised as o brilliant tactician. If this is a real company for NA2, I will invest heavily in it.
Gutier did say in the recent interview with a Brazilian site that more NA2 are definitely possible but that they didn't want them to overshadow/outstrip the core 8 factions.
