Recently while reading Super Jump, I noticed this part:
And that confused me a bit since I clearly remembered this other part:
Why is something specified as a bonus of Super-Jump if it's something everyone can do anyway?

Also, this created in chain other doubts about the whole jumping over/on things rules.
    Specifically...
    1. If a S2 mini needs to move over a 1-inch tall and thin wall, how much movement does that consume? 1-inch to go up and 1 to go down or nothing as it just vaults over it?
    2. If a S2 mini needs to move up (or down) a 1-inch tall scenery item, does it use movement to go up or down?
    3. How do point 1 and 2 change if the miniature has Super-Jump? (If it changes at all)

For what you have posted, having Super-Jump means being able to vault over to anything equal or less than its sillhouette height.
Not having Super-Jump seems to mean, on what you quoted there, that you are limited to anything with less height than its silhouette.

I would say it's an artifact from previous editions, though.

    It's basically duplication.

    1. Nothing, the vertical movement isn't measured.
    2. As for 1, nothing.
    3. No change.

Thanks ijw, I supposed it was something like that but had no way to make sure.

Don't forget that while vaulting the figure momentarily "stands" on top of the terrain feature - meaning new LoF might open up.

    From http://wiki.infinitythegame.com/en/General_Movement_Rules FAQ:
Q: Can troopers move through obstacles that do not exceed the height of their Silhouette Template? Then is that movement considered “up and down” or does it count as if they were always at ground level?
A: Troops can vault and they are considered to be moving “up and down”.

I thought that we still need to measure the movement up and down, when we pass through the objects that are smaller than the silhouette.

That answer is expressly referring to that the troopers do physically go over the object for the purposes of drawing LoF, but it doesn't get taken into account for the Move distance.

No this only means the sillie moves over the obstacle, not "through" it, the vault still does not apply its movement.

This is one of the reasons TAGs are incredibly fast, they care little for the increasing height vaulting gives them and can move around the table like lightning
