    Hi to all
I´m playing Infinity for about 1 year and started with MO, recently I played with NCA and liked the general feeling.
For a local tournament, these are the missions:
    Highly Classified -> List 2
    Aquisition -> List 1
Capture and Protect -> List 1

The strategy is to play the mission and therefore I came up with following Lists:

    List 1:
    [IMG] Worms 1
    ──────────────────────────────────────────────────

    [IMG]10
    [IMG] UHLAN HMG, Feuerbach / . (2 | 99)

I usually prefer the Swiss Guard over the Aquila but your first list is very solid and I'd play it myself. But you have to take into consideration that Acquisition can be pretty hungry for orders and that 10 orders might not be enough for this mission.

Your second list covers all parts of Highly Classified, but it is too squishy in general for my taste and you don't have any kind of heavy hitters outside of your (probably) purely defensive link team. I'd try to squeeze in a 2W trooper somehow or you're in danger to be overrun quickly. 2 Auxilia and 2 CSUs might help as well.

I have a similar problem to solve... @DrVic is it ok to join in on your thread?

I'm trying to make lists for NCA (without a TAG) for these missions.

    Highly classified
    Acquisition

    Supremacy

    Any help/tips/tactics is very appreciated!

I have this to start that fits in NCA
    Auxilia box
    Bulleteers box
    Dronbot box
    Swiss HMG
Bolt medic (proxy for drop bears)
    Fusilier box + pano starter
    Locust
    2 CSU
    Hexa sniper

    Thinking of buying if needed:
    Support pack
    Black friar
    (any) Deva
    Agulia (HMG)

First off: You really want a support pack. Maybe not the ugly PanO people, but I consider at least the Mechanist to be mandatory for most NCA lists. And for Highly Classified a Doctor is also mandatory because the Paramedic skill is too unreliable. And despite her terrible reputation the Trauma-Doc is superior, because the success chance of her doctor skill is 5%-25% higher than any kind of paramedic skill. You can also reroll your Doctor attempt as long as you have command tokens to further increase your odds.

The ORC from the PanO starter is the generally accepted (not that this would matter anymore) proxy for the Swiss Guard Hacker, who is perfect for all the missions you named. So I'd build a list around him.

The Auxilia are great units in general and the FO loadout covers the observation objectives of Highly Classified.

This is the NCA list I'd use for the given missions. You can swap out the Swiss Guard HMG for another heavy hitter or a Hexa KHD and a Locust AHD for a more dangerous hacking setup, but he's the main reason why I play NCA so I include him in as many lists as possible.

    [IMG] Highly Classified
    ──────────────────────────────────────────────────

    GROUP 1[IMG] [IMG] [IMG]10
    [IMG] AUXILIA (Forward Observer) Combi Rifle + AUXBOT_1 / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 15)
    [IMG] [IMG] AUXBOT_1 Heavy Flamethrower / Electric Pulse. (- | 4)
    [IMG] AUXILIA (Forward Observer) Combi Rifle + AUXBOT_1 / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 15)
    [IMG] [IMG] AUXBOT_1 Heavy Flamethrower / Electric Pulse. (- | 4)
[IMG] FUSILIER Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 10)
[IMG] FUSILIER Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 10)
[IMG] FUSILIER Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 10)
[IMG] FUSILIER Lieutenant Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 10)
[IMG] FUSILIER Missile Launcher / Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 15)
[IMG] SWISS GUARD Hacker (Assault Hacking Device) MULTI Rifle / Pistol, AP CCW. (0.5 | 70)
    [IMG] TRAUMA-DOC Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 14)
    [IMG] PALBOT Electric Pulse. (0 | 3)
    [IMG] BULLETEER Spitfire / Electric Pulse. (1 | 23)

    GROUP 2[IMG] [IMG] [IMG]4 [IMG]1
[IMG] SWISS GUARD HMG / Pistol, AP CCW. (2 | 68)
[IMG] FUGAZI DRONBOT Flash Pulse, Sniffer / Electric Pulse. (0 | 8)
[IMG] FUGAZI DRONBOT Flash Pulse, Sniffer / Electric Pulse. (0 | 8)
    [IMG] MACHINIST Combi Rifle, D-Charges / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 15)
    [IMG] PALBOT Electric Pulse. (0 | 3)
[IMG] WARCOR (Sixth Sense L1) Flash Pulse / Stun Pistol, Knife. (0 | 3)

    5 SWC | 300 Points

This list has almost no backups but Highly Classified doesn't lend itself to redundancies and safety nets.

I appreciate your input Commoner1 and consider taking advatage of your suggestions.
However, my resources of miniatures are a little bit limited at the moment but the Auxiliar and Fugazis are on my shopping list.

By the way, how do you play the Figazi?
Mere order monkey, aro piece, mobil repeater, all of these?

Fugazi are order generators which also provide short-to-mid range ARO support.

    In this role they unmatched.

@Commoner1 Big thanks that seems like a really solid list!
I will play that as my main one without a doubt and the second list with a Locust (love the mini and just painted it)

Is the Nisse hacker a good proxy for the Hexa hacker?
I'm thinking long coat, hacker visor and combi rifle here as I'm using Knauf for the Hexa sniper and don't want to stretch the proxy to much.

My second post was more of an answer for @coma 's question although it also might count as a reply for your opening post. Auxilia are great units but for now you can stick to CSUs. They were great before the recent changes, but now they are incredible and you can easily use proxies (I use Alguacil for them myself because I don't like the models). I played PanO and its sectorials completely without REMs when I started playing Infinity and it is viable despite the predominant opinion on this forum. But REMs make your list building alot easier and higher order counts become much easier to obtain.Your lists are very solid though. If Worms wasn't on the other side of Germany I'd also be there and maybe face you. And I know that fighting these lists would be rough to defeat if you're a decent player. :grinning:

@AdmiralJCJF was spot on with his assessment. They are great short range ARO pieces. I use them to cover my flanks and to keep my linkteam safe. Combined with an EVO Hacker and the Overclock program they have a good chance to stop most Warbands and lightly armed assault troops. And every Aleph player I know has a traumatic story where a Fugazi or WarCor locked down Achilles with just one good roll. The repeater function is also nice but I'm not big into the hacking game unless it's about stealing an overextended TAG. So I don't use that option often.

    @coma
You're welcome. Let us know how it worked out.

The proxy rules for official tournaments have become very lenient recently (although they were already rather friendly before). So the Nisse Hacker is a legitimate and good proxy, although I use the Spitfire Hexa myself for that.

It's also pretty easy to pick up a Fusilier Hacker and put the arms onto a Hexas Spitfire or Multi Sniper.

@Commoner1 I will definately try to write some sort of debrief :)

@AdmiralJCJF I have the girl fusilier combi rifle arm in my bits box so thinking of picking up the Hexa sniper and doing a conversion as that model would fit with the arm. That will probably happen down the road though as I have a lot of painting and some assambly to do. In this list i'm using the Fusilier hacker as a regular combi rifle Fusilier.

How confusing do you guys think it would be to have the Knauf model as the Hexa sniper and a converted Hexa sniper (combi rifle) as a KHD Hexa in the same list?

@DrVic How is your lists going?

Knauf gets used as a Hexa Sniper a lot.

And there are a lot of us with a converted Hexa Sniper.

    It's all good.

First of all, I really like your explanation of the Fugazi and the CSU.... now I want some, too:sweat_smile:
Second, I am not that descent, but sometimes I get kissed by Lady Luck
And I am learning from every defeat!

Since Worms is too far away for you, Kaiserslautern is also no option?

A short summary of the tournament:
First of all great location (an old prussian ballroom, covered with Stucco, awesome) and a very motivatied orga-team.
    1. Highly classified vs. Onyx (List 2)
I was able to fullfi more objectives, as long as I had competent specialists and could road block him with the remnants of my force to prefent him to finish the missions. A bloodbath, I had my Deva Lt. and the Deva Hacker left.
Lesson learnt: Link team of Unidrons can hurt a lot
Hero of the game: the Devabot, who burnt his Umbra Legat to Ashes
    Result: Minor Victory

    2. Acqusition vs. Hassassin (List 1)
Everything went quite smooth, He choosed to go second and placed everything/body in cover or prone. So, I had the first turn to form my defense. This prevented a big part of his movement the follwoing rounds. In round 3, I set up my defense around the tech coffin, with my Datatracker in touch and my Uhlan in front in supressive fire. THis was the mistake, which cost me the game since he got a repeater drone in position (out of sight) and took the TAG over.... then he was able to get some of his guy in contact with the tech coffin. Additionally he took the Antenna
Lesson learnt: Don`t expose your TAG to Hacker without adequat protection....
    Result: Defeat

    3. Capture and Protect vs. Morat agression force (List 1)
Again I got the first turn. This time my opponent made several big placing mistakes, e.g. TR Drone out of sight of everything, leaving his Witch-Soldier (4 link) in plain sight of the Uhlan. After a very one sided Firefight (and a lot of missed smoke/dodge roles) 2 of the soldiers were unconscious. The rest of the game was a one sided matter. The Uhlan, Aquila Guard and the Locust covered main Firelines, crippling his movement and he had a lot of much bad luck with his dice...
In the End, the Uhlan ran across the board, took the beacon an got it save to my deployment zone.
Lesson learnt: read carefully the terrain and place the models accordingly
    Result: Major Victory

Final result 5th out of 10

Outlook: The Uhlan is a Beast..... under the right circumstances. Therefore, I will play around with the list and the suggestions given and maybe... MAYBE... replace the Uhlan for more utility.

Marker state TAGs should be going into the reactive in Marker state.

And Fugazi are your friend, because they let you keep your TAG inside Hacker support without actually pushing up the hackers too.

But it sounds like a good event, and you learned a lot.

Here is what I can remember from the my games.
Big thank you guys for helping with my list building it made all the difference!

    1. Highly classified vs Ariadna
I got my Swiss HMG unconscious in my opponents first turn but managed to send a palbot to heal him back up only to get him killed the following turn. I had my missile launcher on overwatch and that hindered my opponents movement a lot. It was a really close one but I managed to bate him shooting one of my remotes so I could fix it back up and get my classified for the win.
    Minor victory

    2. Acqusition vs Yu Jin CBL (D)
I faced of against the TO and got the first round. He played really defensive not giving me anything to shoot at in my first turn. I had both Auxilias moving up on the left and right side to push buttons (success on both) and tried to get everything else in position for the following turns. My opponents first turn resulted in a killed Swiss HMG and both auxilias. The Hsien HMG in a big link was really making me pay for my early advance. Msv2 and smoke made this not looking very good for me. In the end my positioning worked a lot in my favor and some good AROs (a couple of crits) put his datatracker in the mud two times but he managed to get my Swiss AHD of the tech coffin and mark it himself with ordinary troops for the win. A fun game against a good opponent!
    Minor loss

    3.Supremacy vs Panoceania
I won the roll and decided to pick deployment as I also thought that going second was fine for me and my side of the table was a lot better to defend than my opponents. His choice was to make me go first. I was surprised and tried to figure out his angle. It wasn't that much boots on the ground on his side and there were a lot of points not accounted for on the table (my mind was thinking... Cutter?). I covered my back and a couple of bad angles for AD troops and such. I put both my Swiss on the right flank in hidden deployment because that was a really good point to march forward and also to datascan his HVT. I took some terrain in the middle left with my bulletteer and then pushed forward with the Swiss ADH to get my classified in early. He tried to get me with a croc man hacker but I got him instead. After that I could go for the HVT again safe from AROs and fall back a bit. I pushed forward with my Swiss HMG and killed his Knauf that was on overwatch. I put my heavy hitters on suppressive and tried to push the button on my right flank with an auxilia (no go). My opponent revealed tried for my Swiss AHD with his Cutter (I was right!). Suppressive, favorable distance and AP ammo was really working in my favor here. The Swiss guards managed to put an end to both Cutter and the croc hacker on the following turn. After that I could try for as much OP as possible and the game ended with me only loosing a Fugazi.
    Major win :)

It was a really great tournament and landed me a 6th place (14 players).
I was really pleased with my self and I'm already planning for the next one in june!
Ps. Is Neoterra any good in a limited insertion list? :I

Your Swiss HMG sounds like he's having trouble. Can you talk about that? Have you been revealing him in your opponent's turn to declare AROs? Or perhaps not recamoing? One of the big advantages of units like Auxbots, Fusilier link teams, etc. is to give your heavy hitters a safe place to retreat to.

I'm still a bit at a loss when it's best to deploy hidden or when to deploy as a marker with him. In the first game I put him down as a marker and my opponent needed to spend a lot of orders to reveal him and get him uncouncious. It was long range and I was in cover. I only made ARO's after he was discovered.

In the second game I was foolish and put him in suppressive fire behind cover where I thought would be good range. A really bad call from my part with 5 man link with HMG and msv2 at the other end +smoke to add to that.

In the last game he worked like a charm. I didn't go back to marker state though as I wanted him (this time in a much better position for supressive) to protect the other Swiss.

    Tactical advice is really appreciated!

I don't put the Swiss down in a marker state, I always use Hidden Deployment. If I do want to try and bait the enemy into attacking a TO Camo token, Hexas fulfill that role nicely. Hidden Deployment has two great advantages: your opponent cannot anticipate where your attack will come from, and the Hidden unit is basically invincible until you decide to reveal them. On a strong Shock/attack unit like the Swiss, this a very strong combination. Let your opponent maneuver in their turn, force them to come up the table to challenge your strong ARO units like the Fusilier missile, and then counterattack in your turn. Since they don't know where the Swiss is, it's impossible for your opponent to customize their defense against the Swiss. This means you will often have attack gaps or vulnerable models for the Swiss to target.

That is solid advice, thank you!
I'm really liking this list and want to play it more to even better results with a lot of practice.

My next tournament is limited insertion with Soldiers of fortune though and I'm at a loss on list building for that in NCA.
Pondering to get one of the TAGs for NCA (already got the Cutter and Jotum though).
For these missions maybe I should buy the mule bots instead?

    Missions (+maybe a 4th TBA)
    Firefight
    Frontline
    Supremacy

Ps. I'm all in on NCA so buying more models to put in my ITS lists is the only excuse I need :)

Always put Swiss in HD. 9/10 times you will be spending orders on him so there's no "loss" of orders (usually he always uses his order). Plus opponent now must guess if there's a Swiss in play or 2 Hexa or Garuda (on top of being worried if the Swiss is a SwissMiss xD).

I had a tendency of not dropping Swiss/Hexa out of HD if enemy has still something alongisde MSV2 or Ghazi on table (use CSU or Auxilia, Peacemaker, Bulleteer to kill them).

Again, as you now know smoke+MSV2 trick is really punisihing TO/ODD ;D You always (9.5/10) want to return to camo state (especially with models as expensive as Swiss) :) Unless you are 1000% sure that enemy has no tools to efficiently engage him, or you want to force opponent to engage him (last turn overwatch over objective etc.)
