Let me just preface this post with this: These are not high standard paint jobs, they are for a demo table to be handled but the public and therefore I didn't want to spend hours and hours making them look pretty just for the first person to drop one. They are also heavily varnished. That being said we are probably talking about 6-7 hours total working time including priming, basing and everything else. Almost everything was done with washes and inks over a zenithal prime job (light grey to white as I needed the yellow to pop). The only thing that used traditional paint was the single layer of elf flesh on the skin. The bases were almost entirely rattle can work using masking for the lines and a single wash. They are also going to be used in my local meta to show how quick and easy it can be to get a painted army together. Sent from my PRA-LX1 using Tapatalk
I would love to say it's a paint job but no it's a clear resin version Sent from my PRA-LX1 using Tapatalk
Where do you get one? :) Also vere nice job on those demo minis. I'll be definitely showing this to some of my friends who recently got into the hobby.
Thanks. I'll be glad if it even helps one person get some paint on their models I did the clear cast myself. Sent from my PRA-LX1 using Tapatalk
The whole set look great but that ninja is amazing. Can you elaborate on the casting process and what materials you used?
I cast resin for a living so it's kind of easier for me to do than most. I create a silicone mould of the original model after assembling, cleaning and priming it (with and ultra smooth primer) Then pressure cast the clear casting resin at 50psi. Currently we are trying out a new Smooth On resin that I can't remember the name of. That's about the gist of it but it takes a lot of practice to get right. Sent from my PRA-LX1 using Tapatalk
All this is amazing, and i wish i could get clear cast resin versions of every single TO Camo unit in the game
