Mmm, that fresh forum smell Erm, anyway, I was wondering, on our old forums, we had some really amazing stickies and guides put together by some ultra helpful people (thanks to everyone involved). Items like those are a great help for new players, and I was wondering if we had plans for new ones? The only complaint I had about the old ones was that some of the info was N2 (before my time), and now is an amazing opportunity to start over with up to date information. I had started putting together a "So, you're starting Nomads (Vanilla)" guide (covering starter box and options from there), but I wanted to make sure I wasn't stepping on anyone's toes. Also, one of the things I really liked about the old Warmahordes forums was that each unit/model had it's own guide and discussion thread. Granted, WMH has a lot more direct synergy going on, but would that be helpful to have a thread for, say, Mobile Brigada, discussing (in detail) it's pros and cons with respect to both Vanilla and Sectorial? I know it's a lot of work, but I'm certainly willing to chip in with both content and keeping indices up to date.
Great idea! Those threads on the old forum have been my primary sources of information about the faction. Also, would be amazing to have every unit covered in details, but it requires a lot of work, i guess.
Was there a particular guide that you found helpful? I ask because many of the tacticas and guides on the old forum developed over time and the threads, and sometimes the guides themselves, were full of outdated information.
Speaking for myself, i often used the vanilla nomad thread (http://infinitytheforums.com/forum/topic/27838-vanilla-nomads-a-breakdown-n3/) without searching through the whole discussion, just the op, mainly to get a grasp on the direction to take in my purchases.
