Miniaturised panzerfausts had to go. If they could make them that small and every trooper wasn't carrying one it just made PanO look retarded.
Guys I think I got this figured out. This is the solution to players asking about the Aquila shoulder thingy. Couldn't resculpt the Aquila, so they're simply resculpting everything with a Panzerfaust to look different than the Aquila now. New Teutons incoming boys!
Teutons are the oldest knight sculpts now right? After that it's Santiago? Hopefully they work on their stats too and give them a job in MO.
Dunno I never liked the idea much. If it has to be done I'd prefer the Auxbot_2 over simply slapping Eclipse Smoke on them to call it a day. However I do think there must be a better and more inspired solution. Some of the more drastic changes would be: Climbing Plus (slot for basic HI with C+ seems unclaimed), Sensor (might intrude on Cranes, but who gives a damn about what YJ thinks), FAT2 (would be OP as heck), Marksmanship L2 (slightly less OP as heck), Limited/Ambush Camo (sounds good, but why do they use cloaking all of a sudden?). But my money is on Auxbots. Veteran and a LFT would also make me very happy already. OR you know.... just give them a Fireteam Option and poof, problem gone. Yup, everything else is up to date now.
Sepulcher as well. Sculpt looks nice, but needs to be updated size wise Also carlos sort of confirmed they updated hospitallers cuz they see most use. We probably wont see more updated knight sculpts anytime soon. Also unlikely they'll resculpt the MO box. He said they might do a 300 point repack thing in the future
Yeah. It's almost like some of us like the setting and background material and pretend that it's part of the game. We never had that many things which made PanO feel like a real 'tech power, but the little Shoulder Panzerfausts were one of them. I'm not sure you should be so astonished that's not universally praised.
Yea, thats why creme de la creme is running with Combi Rifles ^^ Srsly please decide on the lore for the PanO (be consistent for the $#@ sake). So the Magister don't have shoulder miniaturized Panzerfaust because they are not given hi-tech stuff and it's fine. But "agile" "lightweight" armor of Montesa knights who need to fit into transport suddenly looks as bulky as "I wanna be a TAG" Father Knight and everything is ok ?
Well if anyone is suprised with this fact then I have nothing to add. Funny part of this that even current winner of Interplanetary run 2 almost identical Hospitaller link lists xD
Well mayby you actually need a full power armor to launch them and not break half of your ribs&spine&shoulder-joint-socket ?
As in only sculpt them, of course. Not actually give them to the unit :P Magisters are ok, but at this point I'm so not impressed with MO that I don't care much. Maybe if we'll see some update in a future, though I doubt it.
I liked them too, I think it is probably a move to differentiate the silhouette and produce weapons with distinctive silhouettes, many people even now do not understand what the shoulder mounted thing is, there is no chance to not understand what they carry now. Oh I agree Montesa could be a bit slimmer, but that is beyond the point, I gave some possible explanations about a change that is most probably based on weapons silhouette identification. Not surprised at all, I think we all kinda see MO been a really restricted sectorial, it has some good and strong options and that is it. Probably not, such weapons are typically recoil-less, how open is the back and if the users face is protected by the flames are more important, probably supply and cost of ammo would be more important decisions on why not everybody would get one. Like Corregidor and many other sectorials the working window for MO I think has passed for the moment, we will have to wait for its time to come again.
Yeah, I fully understand that. It's just hard for me to have fun playing what amounts to a half-baked sectorials. I'm keeping SAA and looking for greener pastures :P edit: Oh, and the problem with "working windows" as they're now is that it creates a risk of GW-like waves of new stuff overshadowing the old, instead of everything keeping the same power/fun level. New skills or weapons, like Fatality or Multi MMRs right now, land in very few new sectorials, while the old ones are left with the old toys. It's not a good way to go about it.
Well, more and more mixed quite powerfull links are appearing recently. Especially ones which on top of doctors have eclipse, superior hacking defense, and CC expert.
It is simple really the whole idea is to be able to glance easilly what weapons the model has, this needs a distinctive silhouette. Hopefully when MO gets rework?
Yeah agreed, SAA is in a pretty unique position of extremely good options obvershadowing merely "good" options. Aside from the Orc Haris and Singh there isn't a single troop I'd call undesireable. That is with even the Orc HMG and Singh being a niche option in very skewed missions. Unique Silhouette as in noticeable from the entire length of a table away. Also the Mobile Brigada+Massacre Link is hot garbage.... because you know... Mobile Brigada. You really shouldn't be too envious of that. To expand on that even the Wu Ming link in ISS is only barely serviceable because of the support it gets (Kuang Shi, Rui Shi... etc). The Ikari Wu Ming are a decent Haris, their Core option is underwhelming. @psychoticstorm PanO complaints in general are mostly luxury problems. We have 3 competetive Sectorials and a solid Vanilla. But we do know CB can do better than Factions and Sectorials split in between dead and competetive Profiles. Especially since we have one of these to pick from with SAA. So you'd naturally look at the other 2 and ask yourself why your best option is to go for a Magister Link/Fusiliers+Swiss most of the time.
What's a point of single model silluete for a weapon which is present on every model ? I really cannot understand your point (I understand what you are saying, it's just doesn't make sense in after mentioned Magister example).
