You could argue that Wu Ming as a brand might have an appeal to a mercenary squad using the same model of armour. Unlike the Kuang Shi, who are political prisoners vanished into blacksite dungeons and probably not making the news, the story of Wu Ming as brutal-soldiers-fighting-to-regain-name-and-honour first in and last out, is the stuff legends and Mayacasts can be made of. You're a merc with a suit of heavy armour. You arent fighting for honour, you aren't going to sacrifice your life for your client. But borrow the existing label and maybe they think you will and pay out accordingly for your services.
Consider that Wu Mings cone from all Yu Jing military ( JSA included). Being ikari a japanese based merc company isn't strange some old japanese Wu Mings joined ( after escape). Anyway i miss a generic merc IP porfile ( as mobile brigades, o the "ip" bounty hunter") to fill the base of all merc companies. ( As scarfce in DB is a generic mercenary tag more than scarfce.).
That would be Brawlers. Scarface is a character/hero using an old Ramhorn TAG, but TAGs are a bit too expensive and unique to really have a "generic" version of, I would say.
While you might not sacrifice your life for the client, the job does occasionally require one to risk their life. And mercs that are part of the same company will always risk their lives for their buddies, because next time it might be their ass hanging in the breeze that needs rescuing.
Tohaa was a concept/test bed army a few years back that CB used to try new things. They eventually got bored with it and forgot about it's existence. This also explains why you warcors don't even remember them. ;)
Tohaa don't exist. They're a myth, a cover-up for something else. Think about it: Do you know anybody who plays Tohaa? Have you ever played against Tohaa? Do you know anybody who has ever played against Tohaa? I met one person who claimed to play Tohaa, but swiftly claimed to also live in Bielefeld, a fictional German city. My conclusion? The myth of Tohaa conceals a deeper and shocking twist of the Infinity universe: There's a second alien race posing as a second alien race! Think about it, it's the perfect cover: You accuse a Tohaa of being part of an alien race and they say "Yes", because they're another alien race pretending to be a completely different alien race to catch humanity off-guard!
I've heard Tohaa don't sell well because people can't relate to them so CB is redesigning the faction to resemble a more liked vegetable that any kid will eat: Chicken Nuggets.
c'mon everybody knows chicken nuggets are not vegetables! Pizza, on the other hand, is totally a vegetable
