The latest (5.3) rules update gave us this rules change to impetuous. "Restriction: Impetuous Troopers cannot enter Marker States (Camouflaged, Impersonation...), or any other States that say so. Furthermore, they cannot enter Prone state at the end of the Order." Can impetuous trooper go prone after movement? Can impetuous trooper go prone after failing a guts check? The reason why I'm asking is that unlike with the minelayer* change, CB didn't write the a RAI (rules an intended) for the impetuous change ("Adjusted the restriction on the Impetuous skill.") * The minelayer RAW (rules as written) is ambiquous but RAI is very clear based on the change log ("Clarified Minelayer skill to prevent an exploit when deploying deployable repeaters.").
I suggest simply ignoring this FAQ. This is a discussion I had on Discord earlier. https://discord.com/channels/118301609146056709/617207022965882913/1544390003944194210
Not while using the Impetuous order. After that, no problem with regular or irregular orders. You can deploy prone but if you use it they need to get up. If you need to make a guts check when you used an imp order, you can't go prone. It's all about when using that one order.
But the rule categorically states Impetuous Troopers, not impetuous phase. If it's only restricted to the imp phase, the rule will state so as in the bullets above this rule.
