It was hard to hear but I"m happy for spec ops agian. It sounded like just what I wanted too. That spec ops will have their own profiles rather than being based on an existing troop. It could be a lot of fun but fingers crossed it's balanced. It sucked going up against an Aleph Deva with BTS9 super hacker or BS15 Viral Sniper Muyib who already came with an arsenal.

Agreed forgot about him...I really liked the dog warrior sculpt...the other one was ridiculous with all the weapons he is carrying. Sometimes less is more.

Yeah the NA2 Dog Warrior looks overloaded. The wulf-form looks nice.
Taowu is probaply on the list because there is no regular mini available. Sculpt is okay, I am happy with my Infinity version.
The Gecko looks also okay, different enough to not mix it with the old ones. A single one is a bit dissapointing.
Le Muet as the ITS 18 mini is very boring in my eyes.
The Aleph flyer. Puh. Needs a bit to settle down what is what. A light reminder of the first Probot ;-) it also looks like the most expensive flyer box so far. The profile is good, but I am pretty sure OSS will do good without it.

The new book with campaign (hopfully a big one, Paradiso style) seem to be cool. The concept of a box for every Spec Op seems unneccessary. Makes it only more expensive. But we will see what the profiles and rules will say. The first ones look good but I am not so happy with the american style for Yu Jing. And a sniper (yeah I know there will be an alterntive) again *sigh*. So Multi Rifle / HMG ... were Feuerbach for YJ?

I am happy to hear that the book is coming soon. I would love to get a Haqqislam Spec Op box, but it looks like those may not be available when the book is released. The CA looks the best with the cute spider bot.

The option for print to order for some older models sounds great. Hopefully for some new Haqqislam models soon.

The “overloaded” look for Ionn makes a lot of sense to me. He’s equipped knowing he’s going to change. He has weapons for both forms. The only one that looks strange is the Tac Bow. Why would a guy like him have a Silent Weapon? Maybe he has stealth?

Yeah, the Yu Jing guy doesn’t look Yu Jing enough but still look good. Sunglasses are not exclusive to merica.

I’m just happy the spec ops have their own profiles.

It would be okay, if CB provided weapons options for the model. Maybe even make it multipose. I'm sure it is doable.

There are 3 loadouts nowadays - MultiMarksman (to be released on this resculpt), Mk12 (represented on the 1gen sculpt) and Shotgun (not represented, unless you take the old twin CombiRifle one as Vulkan Shotgun...). If there were three guns in the box, one could buy the box multiple times to build different variants.

That's a lost opportunity for you, CB.

To be fair, multiple weapon options, would cost more money raising the price of the box. I don't know how much each additional weapon would cost, but the cost would go up for extra weapons or arms and or whatever else.

I'm sure somebody has a graph somewhere at CB that indicates the optimal pricing per unit for maximum profit.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't have the same bug about the weapons that a tag is particularly carrying that I do with standard S2 models, but I'm not someone who really tries to maximize the number of tag models on the table?

Yes this is a nice detail, but with bow, chainrifle and two swords its difficult to fight I guess ;-) His armour is flexible as you can see on the dog form, the trousers are still the same but the part below ripped of. All in all nice details but he still looks overlaoded in human form.

Thing is, Geckos are inexpensive enough for them to make sense running two of them in a Corregidor list. Sometimes, even three in a Haris Team (at other instances, the 3rd model might be something else, inc. an engineer).
And to use different loadouts. The old box was two models with different loadouts, after all.

Hmm. I might get an another Triphammer, and weapon-swap its Shotgun for one of the old Gecko's Combirifles... one day, when I get too much time and money ;)

Edit: on afterthought, I guess having .stl files with extra weapon options for people to 3d-print would be an option.
People do make these anyway, I have seen pics of a Shakush with 3d-printed HMG setup. Someone was selling these somewhere on the Net a few years ago. I'd consider buying a 2nd Shakush to build it that way if I had the files for the parts. And I'd pay CB for them.

If not CB, then somebody else - I'm still yet to buy a recast Infinity model: I've seen some of them, and the quality of these knockoffs was acceptably good - therefore, why not CB?

Sure, not a perfect solution from my POV, as I don't have access to a 3d printer and I'd have to bother my friends and acquitances to print the parts for me, but it is still an acceptable solution for me.
