The official website recently dropped some new descriptions for the faction strengths. This gives us a pretty good look into how the devs envision this faction and what its core characteristics are supposed to be.
But honestly, some of the content is just straight up weird.
Most of the sectorials aren't even finished yet.

One wonders if this was tasked to an AI. Or perhaps two different versions of said AI given the inconsistent formatting. The elevator pitches are switching between what can be surmised from the fluff and what can be surmised from the unit abilities, and in several places are just pure hallucinations.
"Focused on accuracy"? JSA?! Compared to who!

Some of the "strengths" listed in there are complete nonsense.
Take PanO’s mention of being "elite"—it doesn't actually mean anything.
As for JSA, they mentioned Ninjas and Samurai, but those are just unit types, not actual faction "strengths". Plus, "advanced camouflage" is just vague and meaningless.

Typical marketing BS. But can be misleading to new players because it's BS.

To be fair: Advanced Camouflage means Mime-6 and hidden deployment are more often available in JSA, they are also the only faction that has two stealth TAGs and with the exception of Karakuri (and Ruby) all HI have stealth (advanced stealth) and of course they can CC.

They just avoid to go deep into game terms and keep it more vague.

I laughed the Superior Heavy Infantry and under Yu Jing. The most yes, superior eeah not so much. Yeah they have some good stuff but nothing I'd say as superior.

And when did ISS get more Infiltrating camo troops!? Must be in camo because I can't find them. They only have 1 AVA1 infiltrating camo troop with the Ninja. Kogan only has Forward Deploy. Vanguard (AVA2) have Infiltration but no camo. I don't even talk about Kanren anymore.

Superior HI - Hac Tao has ARM 5 and a highly advanced stealth system. It only lacks a bit more of fire control bits to be on the same level as Pan O. YJ also has the only HI casable of hearing TAG size weapons and a full ARM 4 suit with camouflage and infiltration. So yes (ignore the lore breaking fact that Pan O has a rem that carrys a HRMC (at least not with BS14)). Not forget our transformer cat bot.

ISS has three units with hidden deployment. The fluff text did not differ between full infiltration and FD 8“. Kanren is mime -6 and has two decoys this is - fluffwise - advanced stealth tec.
