I don't know where to post RPG information anymore, so I am posting this here. The next project I am focusing on is a Savage Worlds Adventures Edition conversion for Infinity. Now, you might be asking why I would do this when the Infinity RPG already exists and I say that's a valid question. My local group showed interest in playing with the Infinity setting but having played Star Trek Adventures. Our group was not keen on the 2d20 system. So, I decided to work up a version of Savage Worlds as I have experience with the system, running a Deadlands campaign in the past. As, for what I am basing the conversion on. I am working with the base Savage Worlds book while adding elements from the SW Science Fiction, Interface Zero 3.0, Sprawl Runners, Etc. Since, some of my group did not know much of the Infinity setting I decided to keep a Life Path. So, they could roll a character and then research some of that background to make easier for them. I have attached that document, and I will be attaching more as the work continues.
Remotes I have worked up a test of how Remotes and how REM-Driver's will operate them. REM-Driver: I wanted them to somewhat act like Shadowrun Riggers. These require a "Quantronic Background" (A thematic rewording of Arcane Background) and created REM Control Skill to act as the measure of control of the remotes. REM-Rig: A REM-Drivers device used to control multiple remotes, these have variation and bonuses. Remotes: I have made these largely generic so they could fill different roles. The player can modify these to fill specific rolls. Mods: These are ways to alter a remote to make it fit roles (Example: Tactical Operations Remote with the right Mods functions as a TR Bot).
The Info-War section focuses more on the special abilities of hackers in Infinity. I modified some of the powers section from the Savage Worlds Core Book. At present, I am still analyzing the Interface Zero book to work out more of the general effects of hacking in Infinity. So, as the name suggests, these are the most subject to change.
I have worked up the Equipment section of my SWAGE Conversion. Apologies for the long time between updates but this was the largest section I have "presently" worked on. Included in this section General Equipment: Including Human, Tohaa, & Combined Army gear. Standard Armor Types Power Armor: This section includes a "Build Your Own" capability. This allows for the construction of different armors for each faction. Symbiont Armor: This section also includes a "Build Your Own" capability. Intended to cover the different types of Symbionts. Ammunition Types: The idea for ammunition types is that they are purchased as a modification for a weapon. Example Buying a Rifle & then altering to an AP Rifle. Weapons: Created some stats for some of the weapons found in Infinity. When reading this you may note that some of these have a cost and others do not. This is because while working the up these sections a different way to handle payments in the game came up. I am still working on that part, but I still wanted to show this section for others to look it over. As always, suggestions are welcome.
TAG Your It! I modified the Walker section of the Savage Worlds Sci Fi book for the TAGs. These were toned slightly as the Walkers, as is, are more Battlemech than TAG. The TAG's available to players will be custom TAG, with different Chassises that can be modified. This keeps with the "make your own" sections found in the previous equipment section. It also keeps the iconic TAGs of Infinity to be more "Boss Monster" when they appear. The Cost represent a new purchasing system I'm working on. This will probably be my next post when I feel it's ready.
