This just for fun guys! Let’s talk about what we want in a 4th Yu Jing TAG. Having only 3 TAGs is bad Feng Shui! They need 6 for good Fortune/Wealth. Or have 5 for each of the elements. Fire (Blue Wolf), Water (Guijia), Wood (Long Wang), Metal (???), Earth (????). Note Chinese Elements doesn't have Air, but does have Metal and Wood. Here’s my take on it. We already have a main battle TAG with the Guijia. A midfield brawler with the Blue Wolf and, I guess, and all-purpose (punch down) TAG with the Long Wang. I’d like a cheaper light TAG but I don’t think YJ would ever get that. They would rather have Super HI for that like Yan Huo. So, I’m thinking Super Heavy TAG! I’m thinking the YJ equivalent to the Jotum. So Earth or Metal element. Maybe even the first Remote Presence TAG for YJ. ARM9, BTS6, with big guns like HRMC or Missiles (+1B), Feuerbach (+1B), Grenade Launcher (SR -2). Mine Dispenser would be cool. Maybe some new plasma tech? It might also be the second TAG to be Size 8. Something just to make it different, and not nearly as powerful as something like mimetisim, is to give it Decoy 1. Just something to make some interesting deployment but not much beyond that. It needs something to make up for the large size. Other things that would be interesting is to bring the ARM down 7 or 8 but then give it Nanoscreen! Tinbot -6 would make sense for a Yu Jing TAG. That or some other hacking defense that's better than normal. How about a hacker with Zero Pain only? What ideas do you have?
If would be great to get another non-humanoid TAG. Maybe a S6/S8 snake, lion, or dragon. If it is S6, I could see it having holoprojectors as Yujing love those. No idea on weapons.
It used to be but then they took Holo away from Kanren. The only ones with it are Lu Duan, and Tian Gou (which almost no one uses). It's why I suggested at Decoy. The poor mans holoprojector.
Especially the original sculpt. It was a smaller and sleeker but still a big chuck of metal. I would say a Tashikoma would be JSA anyway lol. A Korean TAG would be cool though. One that goes with the Daebak troops.
A Metal Gear inspired would be badass. Ok, Tchernoborg may already fill the niche. But if you're looking for something smaller an ED209 will feel the same vibe but will be different enough.
I'd be very happy if they did a TAG version of the Su Jian. But that would mean two models and expensive! But like I said, i'd like a "Light" ARM6 TAG that's Fast. But again, we already have that with the Su Jian. So that made me think of going for Heavy TAG. Essentially a very big Yaokong.
Yujing TAGs all have niches. For example, the Guijia is the all Rounder. Its got Martial Arts, a Multi-HMG, Heavy Flamethrower, and Super Jump. Its only "weakness" would be its S7 size. A new Yujing TAG probably should be a long range fire superiority piece. Maybe with +1 Burst Base with an Autocannon and Light Rocket Launcher for close. That would be a neat mix. Maybe Korean for Archer?
If i was Korean it could be in the Daebak force. There's already some TAGs in Reinforcement rules. Max, Cascuda, Squallo II, Anaconda. I'm surprised the Mechazoid is not. Edit: one thing I've thought YJ should have is a heavy remote like the Rudras, Vostok, or Stormbot. In only makes sense for the HI army to have an HI remote.
Guijia is S7. Blue Wolf and Long Wang are S6. Even Geckos are S6. Why we need another light TAG? If YJ gets a fourth TAG than it should have something special, like camo or mimetism or MSV 1 (that slot is free IIRC). For weapon I would vote for Feuerbach. We have only one and that one sees rarley play. Pan O have 1 x Mime-3, 1 x Camo/Mime-3, 1 x Camo/Mime-6. Pan O have mostly M-HMGs and one HRMC (we have it on a S5 HI). Aleph has: 1 x MSV2, 1 x medium allrounder CA has: 1 x Mime-6/M-HMG, 2 Medium with unique weapons (HRMC, Plasma Sniper), 1 MBT with Minedispencer, 1 S7 with HRMC and the newest additon features a unique look and guard skill. JSA: Has two CC TAGs Ariadna: Has old school MBT with AP HMG O-12: 1 x HRMC, 1 Medium with AP stuff Nomads: Mostly M-HMGs, 1 HRMC, 1 unique Hacker with HRL I forgot Haq and N2: But apart from S8 there is not much new. Apart from Pan and CA no TAG has Mime. Only one has a MSV. So S7 with Feuerbach +1 B and MSV1 as main features would be a nice fit.
You could either give Transmutation between a swift Mobile profile and slow gunnery platform. Or maybe it could be the first Sapper TAG. I just think Autocannons are cool.
I don't think they would do it just because they would be selling two models for one. A TAG is already expensive $. You won't feel you got your money's worth. Event the small ones are pricey. There used to be many things that were a "Yu Jing thing". I wish Blue Wolf had Decoy so that it can be seen as a "Squadron" like it was said in the background.
I like a lot of these ideas, I’d like to see something that really exemplifies the research going on in the black labs. High tech, cutting edge, reverse engineered alien tech and designed to counter next wave, whatever that looks like.
I want Super Sensor! Discovers in a 16" Radius! Things I think to be very "Yu Jing" Holo echoes (used to be a thing but mostly gone now) Sensor (The fist ones to have sensor on some troops other than the FO bot) Breaker ammo (First one to have Breaker Combi) MSV (YJ still has a lot of MSV) Command abilities like CoC, Lt. +1 order, Counterintel, Stratego (How about Sun Tze in a TAG!)
What do you mean? YJ has Sensor on Zhanying and Feiquan other factions also have sensor on other troops. Special Character in a vehicel - thats too 40K like. How about Breaker HMG (basicaly AP, but ...) or Spitfire?
Yes so More Sensor! lol. (I have yet to see anyone use the Feiquan outside of youtube). Well there was the PanO character Tony, and now there's Maximus. Honestly I'd preferer their first Remote Presence TAG but it would be cool. Yes! Can't agree more. The bad about breaker is that's great against troops with BTS0 but not so great against those with BTS 3, 6, 9. But since all TAGs have SR -1 it can help. But great again for going against those Immunity (ARM) troops.
