In USARF there is a Duo option for Devil Dog FTO profiles. But there is no Taskmaster, etc. that converts their Irregular orders to Regular orders to let them use the orders without breaking the fireteam, so RAR they cannot use their orders. Is this a misprint or lack of update or...?
Yes they can use their orders the same as every other irregular trooper in a fireteam. Doing so just makes them leave the fireteam but you can also just spend regulars on them or convert their orders. This is not a bug, misprint or lack of update.
It's on purpose. Being able to to move two of them with a single order is fantastic. Almost too good. There needs to be a downside. It's just like when I take two MBH in Imperial Service. I need to: Not use their Impetuous order, use Regular orders to activate them together. I may use Command Token to turn a regular order into regular to do it. But I normally just have them use an order or two and then they use their Irregular order that breaks the team. I'm fine with that because it's really one the movement efficiency I wanted. I lost the Impetuous but I'm ok with that if it keeps them from going into LoF of the enemy. A Devil Dog might gain a SD with 2 of them, but I'm not sure that is necessarily worth it. I would say their best use is as a buddy for either Rosie or Unknown Ranger. Then you can use their regular order for activating them.
