In my continuing quest to find appropriate crossover references, I keep learning new stuff myself. For example, that there is actually a character called "Crimson Corsair" in the Star Wars universe who goes by the name of Sidon Ithano, and he has a red Twi-Lek in his crew called Reveth.

So there you go, Reveth is my reference for the female Korsan, while the male one will be painted after Sidon himself :)

    I could if I wanted to – but I don't :D

Here's a little outlier. Some backstory to explain: My first Al'Hawwa was painted after the studio scheme instead of a Star Wars reference because it was supposed to be part of my "all studio scheme" StarCo project. Now that I got a second Al'Hawwa, I couldn't really break the pattern. Especially since it sounded like a fun challenge to apply the old Al'Hawwa scheme to the new sculpt (something the box art clearly didn't try to do).

So here you go: New Al'Hawwa in the old N2 studio scheme:

And here are both together. You can see how the updated sculpt forced me to make some decisions regarding color distribution, but I think I got quite the similar effect:

Almost coming to the end of the reinforcemts box, here's the Hafza painted as a Death Watch Mandalorian. Turns out these guys have more than their share of shady business in their background, what throwing in with Darth Maul and all. Also, the design of the Hafza again was surprisingly close to their Star Wars equivalents:

    Thank you :)

It's a new year, but there's still stuff from the old one to share. So let me start off 2026 with the last miniature from the Haqqislam Reinforcement Pack Alpha, aka the N4 QK starter set – the Burkut. My reference for him was Piz Viszla, the heavy Mandalorian guy from the tv show:

    As always, thank you :)

Let's finish my Qapu Khalqi project for now with the last mini I painted in 2025, the male Yuan Yuan:

Since my first Yuan Yuan was referencing #enfysnest, I decided to paint her male counterpart as one from her crew. So, this might be the most niche reference I've done yet, but if you search "Callixido Rex" you will find a guy who lent his colors and insignia to this paintjob – even if I had to get a bit creative because the guy is wearing almost nothing but dark brown.

Well, what can I say? I am disappointed in Qapu Khalqi. After having played them a bunch, they simply do not inspire the same excitement as their supersoldier cousins.

That's why I'm coming back to Ramah Taskforce and am currently preparing to bring them to a big five round event this year. Which gives me enough reason to add a few missing pieces to my collection. Startin with a Khawarij HRL. Took out a Haeate twice in his first game, so I'm not disappointed at all in finally having him join the boys:

Is this one still SW inspired ?

It is. I just didn't have a specific reference for my Khawarij in mind. You could say they're based on Inquisitors if you wanted to, but it's basically just any evil Sith type guy clad in black and red.

    Ok.
I just noticed that the black part was slightly different from the previous one is thought it was specific to match some reference.

It is quite nice that the theme can stand alone without a specific reference needed.

If that is so, it was by accident, not on purpose. It's been a while since I painted my Haqq blacks, but I was pretty sure I was using the same colors as before.

I added another model to the range – one I had thought for a long time I would never need: The second Al Fasid:

The HMG profile just never looked playable to me, even after the most recent buffs. However, my current list iterations are driving me towards a drastic but suprisingly powerful solution for Ramah's ARO problems: Double Al Fasids. In a duo. Of course, I'm running two Heavy Rocket Launchers, but I didn't want to convert this guy in case I'm ever selling the collection and the future owner wants both loadouts.

So far, the duo has successfully weathered an alpha strike from a Redeye, killing the thing in ARO while only suffering one wound between them, then killing a Griffin with Feuerbach in ARO in the following turn. Not disappointed tbh. Three dice on a plaftform that can really hurt you should you lose the ftf and can take a hit if it loses itself is really nice, even if it costs me 88 pts.

As a reminder: Him and his brother are supposed to be Sith Troppers, hence my attempt at replicating that shiny red plastic armor. Still not sure I succeeded, but they definitely look cool. Here's the dynamic duo:
