JSA list building. Am I crazy or just blind, I cannot find this Hero in the infinity app to save my life. Please help point her out.
So…. What is the advantage of playing one “subfaction” over another?? Like for JSA it’s JSA, Shindenbutai or Oban. Is it just some models aren’t in all the “subfactions”??
They have slightly different play styles. Oban you can do a lot more HI. Also speed with the bikes. Shinden has a few more specialists.
For Infinity when choosing your Force, you usually choose your Faction first. Then you choose if you will utilize Generic or an specific Sectorial. Generic (also known as "Vanilla") gives you access to the widest breath of models which allows different types of synergies. It also allows you to choose the best option for your requirement. The trade off is limited access to fireteams (2 Duos and a Haris) and smaller model availability (AVAs). Sectorials are themed armies. For following the theme, you get access to increased AVAs, unique units and profiles, and more Fireteams (unlimited Dous, at least one Haris, and at least one Core). However, their toolkit is specialised and sometimes can be limited. For JSA, Shindenbutai provides Apex gunners, good midfield, and flexible specialists. Oban provides elite ninjas, Heavy Infantry, and bikes. Generic provides a interesting mix of the two. For new players, I would recommend Shindenbutai. The model line is new and mostly complete. It also is built for the new edition (N5), extremely flexible, and provides some great options. Oban is good, but would definitely be harder to obtain all the models and harder to pilot.
