I kinda fell into JSA now. I got a bunch of them for cheap in an auction and then I went in on the new set with a friend. My head cannon for them is. That they are the JSA that DIDN'T dishonor their oath to Yu Jing! They are the remnants of those troops and new recruits. I think I'm mainly going to play vJSA and Oban. This is the color scheme I'm going to do. Orange and Teal are the primary colors. Red accents and black weapons. Brown for straps, pouches, bags, etc. I changed a bit of how I panted them. I used a brown primer instead of my usual dark grey. I then did my usual Zenithal white ink. I used maise yellow speed paint on the armor and then a Vallejo red express color over that. I did this because I wanted the edges to go to yellow, not white. This is the symbol I made for them.
Been a long time since I've done any Yu Jing and this guy has been waiting for, well since he first came out I don't know how many years ago!
It's hard to see but there's a big gap in the back, at the loin cloth. It's impossible to get it to be together and not look bad. Otherwise it's still a good mini.
I'm seriously irked. My airbrush compressor seems to be on the fritz. I'll turn in it on but the motor gets so hot it will not refill the tank. I can't do more than half a miniature. I at least got a lot of minis, including my new warcow elves primed but now I can't do my zenithal I like to do.
I already hit the button on this. A NO CLEANING airbrush. I only do primer and zenithal so it should work well.
I just got Maximus for my Aleph. I have him together now and he looks cool. But I can't but feel that something is missing. I'm thinking of trying to put something into his right hand. I'd like a spear, but a hammer would be cool too. But trying to find something the right size futuristic is going to be very hard. Does anyone have suggestions?
Does it have to be futuristic though? you could use something like the Spear he used in his Thermopylae skin.
The easiest advice I can give is if you are up for some scratch building is look for "Corpus spear gun" or "Corpus Stuff" from warframe they have quite exquisite designs. Otherwise I suggested it because archaic spears are easy to find and since he has used it in the past, it can be excused as a weapon of sentimental value.
