Having those troopers require extra digging-out to kill (Discover roll, with the usual failure possibility) and having them be Warhorse gives you some nice security for your order pool.Warhorse is particularly handy if you run a Daofei Lt. They're also around to do Coordinated drop-mines action if you have spare orders or want to fortify. Overall well worth it over flashbots etc. if you have the points to spare, IMO.
They may know its a Gudan but they wont know if it has a Zapper or a Heavy Flame thrower and those are very different threats, just ask the Redeye that thought it was safe to fly over my camo token and then spent the entire game bricked.
Last wednesday I tried out my Jujak meme-list in Supremacy: The dice gods played wired: Jujak saved three salvos from the Aquila, each with a crit until he went straight to dead state. My Hwarang was critted by a Bolt (he put to sleep before) in CC! and Shang burned to crisp from a light rocket launching Helot ... aua! But my Rui Shi RF - after burned to 2nd uncon state (damn Helots) and gizmoed back on its feet, shredded the Aquila in a single salvo ... so the game went in my favor in the end
Its on my to watch list, hopefully today or tomorrow as I assemble models. What I have observed is their videos are usually on a different perspective than the regular meta, but they bring in results.
I honestly have no clue, I am assembling my Gudans now but I have not found the time to play with them and this Sundays slot is reserved for my first kestrel game. I am quite eager to try the K1 silver snake though as the MSV2 sniper slot is quite popular around here.
WB has still a lot of good units. I finished my Gudans and the Yinshe some weeks ago. While the silversnake did not make any significant things (he put some mines down but did not have the chance to shine in his two games) he did not go null state either. The Gudans did good work, from spending their orders to roasting a couple of units or died to on shots while the target saved the template (lucky Scarface). Short they did their job. Flamer had 5 and zapper 2 games and I think I they will end up in a more or less autoinclude in IA more then WB. Apart from that Sulyongs are very good in WB. NCO specialist with short range maingun and long range option with msv1 and good armor. The MMR is a cheap mid range shooter. Negatives? They can not from their own team in WB and have no keyword. In vanilla they can duo! Heatae is still a good fighter even single. The optional guided is nice but usualy I have other things to do then go for guided. As I converted mine to HRL I never used the new AP-HMG. I had good experince with Gao - in IA and WB -. While he lacks the AP-Firepower his BS-3 sets most target on low and you don´t have to care for hacking.Overall I think Shang is still the #1 HMG in WB. I like to use Jujaks and Hwarangs. Hwarang LSG/PF/DB is very good for the price. Long range ARO: Use PF or Disco. CQB LSG or go in BtB - they like it there. The strong combi rifle makes good use of BS-3 and together with albedo is a good midrange thread for MSV or MMS. Sadly bolts are warhorses ;-) Ye Mao are good shooters now - only downside is the single vita ... but they are very flexible and have good weapons. Sulsas are not easy. Slightly over the price range of a Guilang its a good infiltrating specialist that also like CC. The KHD is the way to go, for minelayer I go with Guilang also for pure specialist duties. MSV or the Guilang is most of the time a tax but there are some niche options where it will be of good use. I still have to try Oktavia (active!) and the chief engineer. Also have to use old but good Daofei. Tian KHD without Holomask is less used by and even more less the Jammer. Dokkeabi still the best hacker :-)
