I am afraid she will get a box like the Drummers: Two Turrets (I already have 3 from different sources) and one Shenji for ... 40,- €? I recommend trying out the Rui Shi RF/MD - cheap camo hunter and you can block some way with mines too - and Lu Duan: B4 MK12 with surprise is great. Even greater when buffed by an EVO but ... which is a bit diffecult für the Lu Duan, because it lacks a inbuild repeater. Not to forget it has a heavy flamer and E/M Mines also!
Last night my Qian Feng was pretty awesome in Highly classified. I was playing against IA. The first turn sucked for me. He brought down a Liu Xing hacker on my Dakini HMG in a tower, didn't kill it with the explode but later with BSG. He the went on to kill my Pheasant Doc and Deva Lt. putting me in LoS for my first turn. Luckily i saved most of my command tokens an used them all on my vanguard to get to the enemy HVT. 3 out of four cards were HVT and my Secret one. BTW I had no idea that you can civevac your own HVT. Anyway, my Vanguard E/Marated Bixie and got 2 cards for an FO, Elite. Unfortunately on the last one Bixie got lucky and got out of Isolation. My Shenji was later able to suicide up and get my secret objective HVT Reverse engineering. I lost 5 to 10 but it was fun. Oh and I tried the Kanren for the 5th time and he just sucks. Not taking it anymore
Okay then it went a bit unfortunate for you, but sometimes it is worth the effort to try the best out of LoL. I wonder a little bit that we not even have an artwork for Qian Feng. Don´t want to wait until end of 26 for a miniature ... I have to try Kanren myself to see what he can do. Old version not performing well for me anyway. PS: I build my Long Wan today and it was a pleasure. Very little to clean, glues realy needs only seconds and all parts fit seemlesy. I wish CB would use so much more unicool - it would be very good for the Dragon-Creature for the temple guard or the akward new droptroop. Unfortunatly my plan to not use the arms are gone - you need them to cover the holes and I don´t want to cut them down to the shoulder only.
No, the decoys have to be placed in coherency with the actual trooper. See the below copy-paste with added emphasis When deploying, this state allows the user to deploy up to two Decoy Markers (DECOY-1 / DECOY-2) in addition to the Trooper, within Coherency of the user's Model and respecting the general conditions of the Deployment rules.
Indeed, but that's the first bullet of decoy state rules. Fourth bullet of decoy state rules says: So yes, you must place the user model on the table first, then the DECOY-1 and DECOY-2 in coherency of such model. But then you choose which one of all those three is the real user. So to sum up. You can make a "DECOY-1, user model, DECOY-2" conga line where DECOY-1 is not in coherency with DECOY-2, but both DECOY-1 and DECOY-2 are both in coherency with the user model. And then decide that the real user is DECOY-2 for example. Yep, redaction is confusing when compared to Holoecho redaction. Wish that rules on the rulebook where more streamlined to avoid this common missconception.
Okay, that's fair enough. Makes it somewhat useful, as long as you don't have a deployable. Does still mean that the unit either has to be sufficiently low value that spending a Pitcher and Spotlight on it is not useful - or that the unit is in Camo. *Kicks the Kanren to see if it is still alive - nope still dead*
Kanren still suck now lol. They are over shadowed by the vanguard and koga now. I used to be able to take down TAGs with kanren. Now I don't even want them close.
They don't really make sense with my beloved Qianfeng in the same faction. It's a bit of a thankless role to fill between Ninjas being melee fighters in Hidden Deployment, Qianfeng being competent gunners in Hidden Deployment, and Koga solidly filling the hacker and general purpose role. They could be medium range gunners if they weren't so undergunned. They could be the designated hacker skirmisher if they weren't so lacking in upgrades. They could be sort of legit speedbumps if they weren't so overpriced*. * They're not really overpriced when compared to a lot of the other legacy skirmishers, but if you compare them to the newer ones like Scarecrows it is truly mystifying how they end up the same price for surprisingly similar gear in spite of not having camo, hidden deployment, nor infiltration. Their game impact is sort of similar to that of a Moran so a price more similar to them would be expected.
If they had Madtraps on all profiles I'd be a bit more inclined to take them. But being with a non-specialist who, after using all of them, is just a guy stuck in the middle of the board with just an SMG acting small speed bump.
My group has Decapitation coming up for our next meetup. This makes me realize what would make the Bayara good. A duo with Sun Tze. They are supposed to be guards right? Who else would be a good one to guard?! Yeah, I could just put them near ST anyway, but it just seems right that they could duo. I guess it can open Wildcards replacing one of them. But then there’s really no Wildcards that would make them any better or worse. At most I think Xi with his Madtraps would become actually useful.
Sunny has Decoy these days so he's not eligible for Fireteams. (The way decap works I'd greatly have prefered Holoprojector, but oh well)
Well if they changed to have a fireteam they would change that too. An FTO option probably. But as we know, this is pie in the sky stuff.
What would be a good proxy for the Bayara? I don't want to buy the box as the only figures I'm interested in are the Bayara, Koga, and Jinyao. Both Koga and Jinyao are easy to proxy. I'm stuck with not having a good S4 proxy (unless I use one of my remotes, which I'm a bit reluctant to because it's easy to cause confusion).
Team Sirius on a S4 base. For a second one with some variaty use the Sirius Dog and a Wardriver on a s4 base.
Yes, Team Sirius is the easiest proxy for the Bayara as both miniatures fit. You can alos go the Alpha way and use a humanoid robot, like the lattest Warcor, and any other LI of your liking.
I'll be using Andromeda. ISS already uses OSS support, so she's the same style as the Deva and Dakinis (and my Garuda proxying for the new drop trooper remote).
I was going to use my MBH but now I like the idea of using Andromeda. She's a bit out of theme looks-wise though. Meaning she's getting painted for my "Buzz Lightyear" O12. Which is bright colors. But she'll make a good proxy until I get the actual figure I guess. Most of the time the Bayara is going to be a proxy for me too. I'm doing him like my MBH below. the guy will be separate with magnets on the bottom holding him on the bigger base. Together they are the Bayara. The Dragon will be my new MBH that is a duo with my Su Jian. Not sure what I'll use the guy for. Maybe Vanguard with HFT?
Thanks for the suggestions! Andromeda is cheaper and already comes with the proper base so that's the most likely candidate for me.
