And as a result of Achilles betrayal I would like to introduce: The Furies (WB)
The Furies, or Erinyes, are a clandestine unit of psychotropic warfare specialists—warriors conditioned to embody wrath and vengeance. Deployed when Aleph seeks to punish transgressors or sow fear, they are unleashed in response to loss, turning grief into fury. Their presence on the battlefield is as much psychological as physical.

    WIP 13
    ARM 2
    BTS 3

    Weapons:
    • Breaker Combi Rifle
    • Pitcher
    • Flash Pulse
    • D-Charges
    Unique Hacking Program – Mirrorball:
    • Type: Short Skill, Hacking Attack
    • Effect: Creates a temporary zone (Zone of Control radius) that imposes -3 WIP on enemy Hackers and disables Comms Equipment (e.g., Repeaters, TinBots) for 1 turn.
    • BTS Roll: Opposed WIP vs BTS
    • Burst: 1, PS: 7
To finish with the Duo Thanatos&Hypnos
Thanatos is the personification of peaceful death, while Hypnos is the god of sleep. In the Infinity universe, they are paired AI constructs deployed by Aleph for covert termination and suppression operations. Thanatos is a silent executioner, while Hypnos manipulates perception and consciousness through advanced neuro-interference.

They operate as a linked duo, sharing data and orders in real time, and are often deployed to eliminate high-value targets or disrupt command structures.

    Thanatos
    MOV 6-2
    CC 22
    BS 13
    PH 13
    WIP 13
    ARM 3
    BTS 6

    S 2

    Skills:

    • Mimetism (-6)
    • Martial Arts L3, Stealth, Courage

    Special Rules:
    • Coordinated Duo: Thanatos & Hypnos deploy as a single unit and may activate together using a single order (like a synchronized unit).
    • If one is removed, the other gains +1 Burst on all attacks for the rest of the game.

    Please don't shackle your creativity!

Good ideas. I like the Furies.

I honestly don't think they need much. Sure the lost troops but I think they were a bit redundant anyway. Also, some of the N5 changes are good. The Thyreos is actually good now.

Yeah it's the Makhai that still has difficulties to find a spot... too many pts and there are alternatives cheaper or better. The only thing is the Missile Launcher which is interesting, but I'd rather have Phoenix...

None of the Non-Myrmidons seem popular. The Makhai is a good troop, but feels like a “we gave others a troop with -3 mim and MSV 1, we might as well give them one too.” They came out about the same time, or a bit before, as the Ye Mao, Karhu, etc if I recall. They don’t seem very in-line with the rest of SP. I will say the FO with K1 combi is a nice change. Also changed from NCO to Tactical Aware without the price going up. But the price is still a bit high for what you get (like most MI). I think if they got another specialist, it would help. Also, a better fireteam combo. But to have more Aleph/SP flavor I think Dogged/NWI or Mim -6 would feel better.

I have been also trying to think about new sectorial:

    ALEPH: "The Achaemenid Protocol"
    Theme:
A secretive ALEPH directive inspired by the grandeur, strategy, and administrative genius of the ancient Persian Achaemenid Empire. This Sectorial represents ALEPH’s efforts to manage vast, diverse territories through diplomacy, intelligence, and overwhelming precision when needed.

    Core Concepts:
    • Human Sphere Intelligence: Units modeled after the “Eyes and Ears of the King” — elite spies, diplomats, and enforcers.
    • Cultural Integration: Troops and constructs designed to operate within and adapt to various cultures of the Human Sphere, echoing the Empire’s multicultural nature.
    • Divine Mandate: Hero units inspired by Persian mythological figures (e.g., Rostam, Anahita, Mithra), portrayed as semi-divine constructs or avatars.
    • Architects of Order: Emphasis on control, coordination, and battlefield logistics — ALEPH as the ultimate administrator.
    Unit Concepts:
    • Satraps: Commanders with area control abilities, able to “tax” enemy orders or redistribute command tokens.
    • Immortals: Heavy infantry with regeneration protocols and elite training, inspired by the historical Persian Immortals.
    • Magus Operatives: Hacking and psychological warfare specialists, drawing from Zoroastrian mysticism.
    • Royal Couriers: Fast, stealthy units that can relay orders or act as battlefield messengers.
    • Divine Constructs: Heroic figures like Rostam (close combat powerhouse), Anahita (support and healing), or Mithra (anti-lieutenant hunter).
    Gameplay Style:
    • Strategic Flexibility: Strong command and control mechanics, with tools to manipulate the order pool and battlefield tempo.
    • Elite Core: Fewer but more powerful units, with synergy through coordination and support.
    • Cultural Camouflage: Some units can deploy as local forces (mimicking other factions), reflecting ALEPH’s integration into diverse societies.
    Visual & Lore Aesthetic:
    • Design Language: Flowing robes, ornate armor with geometric patterns, and glowing script reminiscent of cuneiform or Avestan.
    • Color Palette: Purples, golds, and whites — regal and divine.
    • Lore Hooks: Ties to the Silk Road, ancient archives, and ALEPH’s role as the “keeper of civilization.”

This is where a new weapon should be introduced: Severance ammunition vs. BTS. Effectively working like a viral weapon, but working to mutate the genetics in order to Sever the connection to the EI rendering the target no longer slave of the Combined army. In a way this is a sectorial that takes a flavor from Haqq, without getting too much (no assassin background). Also the background connected to the silk road, may actually be connected to something aimed at containing the spread of Silk so a potential connection to Paradise Lost.

They need to write something about how the Myrmidons were affected by Achilles leaving Aleph. I read up on the historical background of them and found that they were fiercely loyal to him. They were Achilles private army. If he turned traitor, then so would they. The Infinity background has them as being specifically made to follow him. So why have they not turned traitor as well?

Both "historic" ,I have quotes because it's not known if any of them real, and the Infinity specifically say loyal to Achilles.

Hystory repeats itself and is a very patient teacher ;). Achilles is an aspect of Aleph so loyal to Achilles implies loyal to Aleph. When Achilles tried to protect the priest of Apollo outside Troy no myrmidon was with him

Myrmidons had 2 origins depending on where you looked at. From the mythological PoV, they were divine warriors some have made similar to the norse Eihenjar, other sources make them ants-turned-human warriors (so they would be close, but not the same, as dragon teeth warriors). Historically, they would have been akin to heavy infanty (for the time!) professional warriors that would fight as part of Achilles' personal warband.
This would be irrelevant per se for Infinity, since Aleph generates myrmidons as independent fragments of its whole consciousness (aspects) that go through "virtual reality lifes" in the desired direction; while Achilles would have been able to use them as an assault force exceeding expectations for bot Aleph and the EI, the absence of Achilles should not change their baseline capabilities, specially if we consider Hector (Achilles' nemesis) was created and placed in command as well.
