    Good day all,
I have been looking at getting into more hacking withing Infinity and seeing as how CA is my second faction, I've noticed that this faction has some pretty good hackers, but I do have some questions.
1- I've have read that if I have the Nourkias and an Overdron that the Nourkias can use the Overdron's Tinbot?
I am very curious to know how to do that?

2- Charontids. The profiles look very good. Thinking of running one as my Lt. But, I'm leaning towards the Lt/Hacker w/HDP which gives it the use of White Noise, which sounds like a good idea....but it's 71pts. What other option for a Lt could be taken?

    Thanks

Tinbot rules, pg 124 english rulebook, 4th effect: "
If the owner of a TinBot is part of a Fireteam, every member of the Fireteam benefits from the TinBot."
Evaluation of the combo: lower-mid, you are sacrificing Nourkias' mobility and assault role by pairing him with a TAG (ssame mov/mov, but no superjump, for example, even if the skill was nerfed) that is best described as "artillery", even if the cheapest version, the HRL profile, has an SMG as extra weapon, paying 51pts for a tac order and a tinbot-3.

Alternative: a Unidron Battroid can be part of a Haris with Nourkias (so, 2 Unidron + Nourkias), lets you move a K1 combi rifle + Tinbot-3 for 15pts and a FO Plasma Carbine for 15pts, plus Nourkias, while being 1/3 slower than big N and double the speed in their second mov, you gain 2 Dogged bodies and, more importantly, k1, plasma, and saving a big chunk of points... plus getting 1 Special Dice due to 2 Unidrons in the fireteam.

Go to the Army at https://infinityuniverse.com/army/infinity (official CB owned program) and select Combined Army, then Combined Army again, then go to the upper part of the window, Skills > Lieutenant...
The charontid as a Hacker Plus is not bad, but it's an opportunity cost: it's the only MSV3 of the army, and one of the only 2 troops in the game with the MSV3.

Thanks for the Tinbot...not sure why I didn't clue into that, but that's okay.
The Nourkias/Overdron duo sounded good for sure, but you have also made some good points. Limiting the Nourkias's abilities would seem like a waste it's talents and points cost.
The alternative sounds good as well. A Haris would sound more ideal like stated. However, that Tinbot...again, had me confused as there's no way the Nourkias could use a Tinbot without it being in a FT. Then I looked further into the Unidron profile and Lo and Behold...Unidrons have a Tinbot...no s**t...that's awesome :D Think I might go for that combo, try it out at least

Yeah, I didn't type that out properly. What I was meant to ask was "Is it worth taking the Charontid Lt Hacker for 71pts vs the other Charontid Lt option which has MSV3 and no Hacking Device Plus?"
The idea I had for the Charontid Lt Hacker was to use the White Noise to help position it better and to help protect it as well, with the ECM Hacker -3 and BTS 16, doesn't sound that bad. However, it loses the MSV3. The other option to get White Noise from the Hacking Device Plus is the Umbra Legates, but can't run the Legate in a FT in vCA and as you stated, it's the only MSV3 within CA and the game. And with that, I'm looking at other Lt alternatives other than the Charontid Lt...though I have not ruled out using the Charontid either ;)

I can't help but feel if you want your Aspect to be a hacker then you can't look past the Anathematic. Unless you are desperate for White Noise the Anathematic hacker just seems the better deal to me.

I feel that the Charontid changes in N5 have made the decision no longer clear cut. Additional LT order, Sepsitor, ECM-3, and a Hacking Device + with extra damage seem like a good trade for Quad Trinity, Mimetism -6, and Camo. Having both in the same list is still technically possible.

Vanilla CA has so many options that I don't think you can go wrong with your choice.

I have looked at the Anathematic and yes I thought of running it as well, either as a Hacker or LT or both. The Hidden Deployment, Mimetism -6, BTS 6 among a few of it's other skills seem very good. But, I don't have a model of one at this time.

I got into CA back in N4 with Shasvastii, which I enjoy running, I ran Ariadna back in N3/N4 days and CA does have a lot to offer for sure and this side of CA, the vanilla side of it is all new to me, one of the reasons why I'm looking further into it. Has some great unit, good hackers...but pricey too, so I definitely want to get my points worth out of it.
And you're not wrong either on choices taken...lots of the good stuff :D

Yep, at this time only the Charontid can carry White Noise in vanilla CA. However, I find it too heavy a cost for a single thing, even if there is no source for discoballers (there is the Rasyat for Eclipse Smoke, however); it's a personal preference in this case.
