In the Biotechvore mission the turrets are exposed to the plague?

I disagree, the turret is a Deployable Weapon, rulebook pg 74.

The biotecvore plague will affect the turrets the same way it would affect mines, repeaters, crazykoalas, and any other kind of deployable

It's the same kind of debate we had:
it's got a unit profile like a yudbot or a netrod and those are troopers (peripheral one of them).... the thing is Biotechvore is a very old mission, turrets were just introduced and they have mechanics that were probably not considered in the mission. AFAIK it requires CB intervention

Armed Turrets (and Mines, etc.) are not troopers, they're Deployable Weapons despite lacking that trait in the army app (but you still have to select the Jackboot Engineer there to get access to the Turrets' profiles in the Wepons Section, and as a bonus you get all of them there) thus not affected by the BTV Zone rule that explicitly targets Troopers.

So do have Mines, Repeaters, etc. and those were around in the old times of BTV as well, and those things weren't affected by the Zones back then.

Many players find this interaction silly, so TOs may want to FAQ this prior to a tournament.

Alternatively you can come up wild lore justifications why indeed deployables aren't affected by the plague...

The rulebook states what a trooper is; Page 7:
«Trooper. A game element with attributes belonging to the Army List of any player, able to contribute and spend orders, as well as declaring and receiving attacks.»

The only exception to the above is indicated in the following paragraph on the same page:
«Peripheral. A special category of Trooper that is unable to contribute or spend orders by itself [...].»

There is no mention in the entire rulebook of any other exception to the above, so positionable weapons are not classified as troops.

The ITS document, when indicating what is affected by the Biotechvore Plague Area, indicates «all troopers».

Therefore, if positionable weapons are not troops, they are not affected by something that indicates that it only affects troops.

I totally agree with this position and I believe that CB better come up with an official FAQ to account for the distribution of turrets in the factions (for the latest game addition) and for deployables in general if there is a change concerning repeaters, mines and so on.
Is there a way to activate the official request?
