Which makes sense I guess. I've never seen 4 Domaru on the table at the same time, especially not in N5.
One or two seems to be a pretty hard limit on them. The chain rifle/contender profile is good stuff, although not needed in abundant supply. The spitfire is competent, although mostly outclassed at this point. BSG Domaru is basically a joke.
N5 is a bit too young and maybe Orban is a little bit overshaded by Shinden. A friend of me put 4 or even 5 of them often on the table in N5 but he also likes to play double O´Yoroi ;-) I think they are cheap enough to put a full team on the table: 125 for Spitfire, FO, BSG and double chain.
It's easy to forget that they have PS -1. That BSG is great if in good range. But it can see the table as the contender too. I don't think we've seen one looks like! I hope they do some more JSA this year. I think after the next box they will have at least one of all the new troops out. I'm not sure about KFC. Do they have everything out? I was a bit disappointed that the next IS set was older troops. I hope the next set is the vanguard, Jinwei, and Bao. I think the Shenji and turret is its own box
KCF is nearly done with the planned releases. It's only the Crux Knight, MI Maximus, secondary drummer profiles, and Emily left. Shindenbutai only needs the Tanuki Hacker and Shizoku HRL. CB has done a pretty good roll out of the new forces.
Unfortunately they have been known to never come out with some profiles of new troops. So don't get hopes up. I'm still waiting for another Liu Xing spitfire; Ye Mao ENG, FO, ML; and many others.
Crux Knight is there. They just re-released the old Icestorm Father Knight as part of the PanO Essentials Starter. Absolute minimum effort XD
True, but all those are releases from the pre Morats releases, who was the test for the new release schedule, so we will see.
Well, if Morats are the gold standard of what we have to expect now, there's even less hope. Three years in and still no Sogarat, and the majority of units have to make do with a single sculpt...
I'm not holding my breath for anything. Especially non-IS Yu Jing troops. I'm expecting at least one of the new IS troops and then little to no IS for a long time. I can guarantee there will never be a second Bayara. There's a slight chance they will do a Kanren SMG. But there is already one that can proxy any profile. The existing hacker is only good for the KHD because it’s the only one with a combi rifle. I can see them doing a new Adil because right now he’s only in the Betrayal pack. But it’s likely they will do a re-pack of him with something else. What would be a big surprise for me would be a new HSG Su Jian. It’s likely just because I just got a second one to try to convert. But they will wait until I’m done with it . I’m hoping for new Bao and Major Lunah even though I have the old ones. Lunah is still good, but the Bao looks it age. Lately, for new troops, they have had a few that all have similar guns so that you can use the same one for all of them. The Vanguard has SMG, LSG and BSG. Shenji: Thunderbolt and Combi, Jinwei E-Mitter ADHL. These are some troops I’d like but will probably never get. Not just Yu Jing. I’m pretty sure we will not be seeing new Reinforcement troops for a long time. Nightshade KHD Liu Xing Spitfire and MR Haetae HRL Ye Mao Missile Ye Mao Engineer Ye Mao FO I would be happy if they just did a 3 man set of 2 Ye Mao and I think 1 Silver Snake. For some reason I love Ye Mao.
CB changed a lot of loadouts in N5- if there was a reason - we will never now. Maybe they rolled dice or simply decided there should be more SMG or maybe it was intentioned to sell more minis? Bad examples: Hawkwood - none of the both existing minis has the right weapon now. Some newer Reinforcement troops like Korsan (QK) or Jackboots (O-12/TLB) that came just a few month before N5 are now carrying weapons that have no longer a unit-loadout (LSG and Spitfire). Celestial Guards lost Spitfire and Sniper ("nobody" take them, but hey, people have the miniatures). Hacker got SMG (which is good points-wise). They give us three new combi-minis - sure new SGL, Hacker, MMR will come some day, somewhen but meanwhile, we only have combis and proxys. Only existing correct Bao is the sniper now. Normaly it should be good for CB to release the right loadouts but in some cases they just give us one and thats it. In case of the new stuff I also have my doubts that we will see Bayra SMG or Jinyao SMG (which I would prefer) or RF anytime soon. Thumbs pressed that we will get Jinwei E-Mitter :-) Liu Xing - Multi could be an unexpected surprise release like the Guilang Hacker. For Ye Mao there is a small change they will release the regular version of the limited "engineer" (PF, MR). Since there are few profiles of the new Yin She missing there is small hope for another WB Exp.pack. But first we will see more exp.packs for IS - of course. While Shenji will probably come only with turrets, there is a slot for Jinwei, Ninja and Quianfeng. Yes the only specialist troop in Jujak is missing, but we got a character that is (not bad now) not even a SO.
I know some say "just proxy" but with what? Like I have the Ye Mao AP Spitfire and Ye Mao Hacker. What am I going to add to that? I want another Ye Mao. Not some random figure that comes close. Do they think no one will actually use the fireteam THEY MADE? They have been able to make a core or haris since WB first came out but so far only two?! Yes there is one other that a privileged few were able to get if they won a tournament. Good lucky getting it. CB please just put a little more thought into your releases.
In Caledonia i was able to do a 5 men core of Grey rifles and only existed 2 different sculpts of them. And it happened twice, in the original N2 and in the N3 re sculpt
Indeed, but people complained about these sculpts that were essentially the same legs and different torso.
