This might not seem like much of advantage, but Yu Jing is one of the few troops that can have a baggage bot in a fireteam. In IA or IS. It’s big, it’s slow, and only has a light shotgun, but it does have Baggage, and it is a Repeater. It’s also a Wildcard! The things that it seems perfect for is hackers and replacing unloaded equipment. At first, I thought of this for Turrets but that’s not a thing anymore. But it can still reload mines, madtraps, and deployable cover. Depending on the mission I’m thinking of this as an interesting team. Pheasant with Madtraps Duo. +4” deployment due to Strategic Deployment Reloads Madtraps Wu Ming. Specifically, a WM team with a Zhanying hacker. Repeater giving firewall protection Reloads Pitchers! It can benefit from a Tinbot -6 as well. There’s also all three together. Pheasant, Zhanying, Wu Ming. In IA it’s a bit harder. He’s no longer useful in a Zhanshi team. But in a Zuyong or Shang Ji team he can be used to re-load pitchers for Haidao KHD. In a team with a Mowang or Guijia it can give them Repeater protection.
The lonly Panguiling is a pita to drag around. Maybe for more defensive teams that do not move much, but then you better park one near them. Did you ever try to sneak it near you hacking target without drawing too much attention? While I understand the utility I thing the drawbacks are more then the benefits.
I used the 12pt FTO Pango last weekend in the mission Frontline. It was in a Celestial team with a Pheasant. Due to the Pheasant Strategic Deployment i was able to start the game with the baggage bot in scoring area. Though later because the area was safe I was able to move it with just a few more orders to the furthest scoring area, securing the zone.
