I am thinking it for a while and cant find anything that Vanilla Aleph worths to be selected anymore. Marut lt. - OSS makes it better with fireteams sauce. ok no smoke there but plenty of nice smokers are gone in aleph as well. New rambo maximus ? Well. no martial arts any more. And in all aleph minis, we dont have a second rambo. I can still take in OSS if i want and have no idea why a greek model is in OSS. if you call spitfire Asura a rambo for me it is not clear rambo. Also asura is much better in OSS. what else we have ? No aspraras anymore and i cant buff my zayin, my dakini etc. While in oss there are two. Many greeks gone. No good lt options any more. Machaon is gone. Can anybody tell me a reason to select vanilla aleph instead of Oss ? Please dont tell me satrah duo or extra netrod. Vanilla Aleph on fluff base also offers nothing now. what is vanilla aleph ? Where is the big AI ? Why is andromeda is in OSS but not in vanilla. musnt be the opposite ? Also why only one or two units show up from a complete steel phalanx ? While nomads have alguacils,moderators and securiates why aleph lost thorakites ? Why dakinis are our only infantry ?
Aleph needs an overdose of love come (not so)Human Sphere. Even OSS is not like one can build a lot of different lists. Yadu link is too expensive. BHs are an interesting addition, but I would like to see a faction that works on its own and then some BHs to spice it up... not the other way around (no Holo, no smoke, no Disco... nothing). I also must have lost when Dasyu lost BS... it's a frelling sniper for peep sake! Shall we at least get some Marksmanship? Some MSV? Costs on the 30 bracket and the only thing it has is hidden deployment. Also for a faction that has some of the strongest hackers in the game, there's only 1 pitcher and Danavas (which is great) is still quite expensive and against CA and JSA is good to have 2 Danavas. Don't get me wrong, I am at 2-1 w-l against JSA and Haqq at the moment so it has some kick, but I very often find myself thinking "I would like to change this... no, better not because there's no alternative" and so I end up with very very similar lists
also where is human sphere ? i have been playing this game more than 10 years. aleph and tohaa has always been stepchild .
I wanted to check if my point is correct and counted total entries for each army. here are the results. Army Total entry Vanilla Aleph 39 Vanilla Nomad 49 Vanilla Pano 50 Vanilla Yujing 53 Vanilla Ariadna 51 Vanilla Haq 54 Vanilla o12 46 Vanilla Combined 54 even just came jsa vanilla has 40 entries. 4-5 years army o12 has total 46 entries.
Tohaa is different ballpark, but apart from details: it is also our fault, not because there are not enough players of Aleph (Tohaa came back from the ashes...), but we are underwhelmingly poorly vocal about how we feel. I comment EVERY video, EVERY presentation, EVERY article... if it was 2 of use it would already be twice louder. I have learned using Blender to try and fill in the gap... am I close to 1 finished product? not quite just yet, but I'm not far from it (working on VH). We also have 10k posts in the Human Sphere English forum... the low end together with Ariadna and only Tohaa has less. We need to be more vocal. We don't like it? Complain! especially publicly... remember that CB works because the player base is happy... complaining publicly could create problems of image the kind of: or so I thought CB was different and instead it works EXACTLY like some BRITISH competitor, so why should I be playing yet another game of the same TYPE? Vanilla is doable with a smoke screen and a Marut... but not much options. As I mentioned before: Aleph NEEDS options... bring OPTIONS CB otherwise Aleph will start to look like a certain army of marching robots like a Terminator bad movie... it will NOT increase sales. How does it feel when you create a Universe, start putting details in it, it gets to a stage in which the framework is pretty good... but one detail you created is not quite appreciated (you know, you created Tohaa and had to shut it down)... it's your creation and if it was me I'd be FURIOUS to see a branch go dry. The whole of the creation has to be functional otherwise it WILL, slowly but surely, drift into British market model!
We need at least the following to make it compareable with other factions. basic troopers with wounds. we lost throkitai and we need something here like alguacils. An option here as a LT. If evolved inteligence has Avatar and other lots of options, Aleph as artificial inteligence must have a reply. If it is Asura, devolop and work on it more please with other options. More artificial inteligence related abilities, troops . make vanilla aleph special and give us a reason to play it.
