Same principle less stability, usually would be utilized by police or urban anti terrorist than military as the utility is to have a braced rifle in the confided spaces of a narrow balcony or even a ledge. its the same, but less extravagant, situation with the first Spektr Sniper pose (that needs a wall in the back to even make sense). The only chance you will get to see this pose in a real warfare scenario (and not a poor sniper forced to be in a position no human should be) is if an infantry unit needs to assault a building with full length assault rifles and want to shorten the length of the rifle, few people train for it fewer will choose to use that stance when the occasion comes.
Thanks for the insight, very interesting! I've finished all the old Haqq models in my collection, here are the last remaining Ghulam. I took the opportunity to also pixture them in comparison to their following generations. :D
Congrats on the achievement! They all look very nice and I'm sure you must have a great looking (and big) painted collection by now. Also, you scenic backgrounds look dope!
Nice work again and thanks for the generation comparison. I would say that the face is the major change through time, but it may deserve something else than a quick look on a smartphone.
Weapons get smaller, proportions and poses more realistic, and especially from 2 to 3 the details get much finer. That's the jump from hand to 3d modeling, I suppose.
I'd guess that experience and moulding technic evolution participated too, but digital sure gets the biggest part
It achieved standardization and ability to check sculpts from freelance artists "in person" and not from photographs, later with more in house sculptors it is not such a big issue, but you can see the progression of digital sculpting and 3d molding experience progress through the sculpts. There is a great shift post A! release.
:D THe minis are bit hit and miss for me... designs are generally great, but there are some problems with the Siocast warping and some details not being so sharp. Nothing insurmountable though.
