    I finally had my first N5 with vO12. I can confirm the Gamma haris is awesome! Today I used the HMG+Jackboot ENG+JB Medic. Playing Uplink Center vs. USAriadna.

    Being able to shoot 5+1 burst is great. Twice I got two crits and I think twice I got 1 crit. I might have actually done better with an Omega because I was playing Ariadna and he had no MSV. But still it was good. I eventually went down to an AP sniper but he spent so much to do it that he didn't have orders to accomplish the mission. I screwed up by forgetting they have NWI btw. Oh well.

    I've also confirmed to myself that Mim -6 snipers are a great way to get rid of turrets. My last game with ISS the Kunai ninja with thunderbolt was great and this time it was Lynx sniper. Though it actually took two orders because he got super lucky on ARM rolls.

    Hello, I'm new to this game. I'm interested in the O-12 faction.

    Is the O-12 Collection Pack - Infinity CodeOne, the biggest pack, a good option to start with? Or is it better to start with an Action Pack and gradually buy more models?

    Do you want to do Generic O-12? The Action pack is not bad. They need to revise it a bit because of the figures, Beta Trooper, is no longer available to O12. The key figures in it are the Omega, Gamma, Epsilon, Delta and Goldstein.

    The Starmada Action pack has the Kappas you actually want (mainly hacker), Lawkeeper, 2 Crushers. So there's 3 figures you can't use. So by getting those two action packs there's only 3 figures you just can't use. BTW I think the Saladin makes a great proxy for Hippolyta.

    Next pack to get Expansion Alpha with Lynx, Razor, and PsiCop. All three are great.

    Next ones I highly recommend is the Roadbot, Torchlight Beta Pack. Mainly for the Moonwrakers but the Stormbot is not bad.

    For all variants of O12, it's good to get the Lambda Doc/Eng, Remotes, Fuzzbots.

    Both TAGs are good too. I like the Wreaker.

    The Reinforcements box would have been good but they already screwed up the Jackboots to no longer have a Spitfire or combi rifle. But they can still be used as proxies for the HMG and Thunderbolt. The Ment has been in almost all of my lists. Vidocqs not so much.

    For single figures I recommend the Raveneye, Cyberghost, and Varangian.

    You can start with the action pack, but it is not necessary. I play O-12 on tournaments and since N% i don't use a single unit from this box.

    O-12 now has the Tinker. Honestly I don't know the point. It can't join any fireteams. It's squishy as hell, and I don't find myself with 11pts left over to take it. If I did i'd probably take a baggage bot.

    I actually think this is to fill the roll similar to the Tag pilots. Cheap gizmo specialist. It having a repeater and flashpulse is nice. But I think that’s why it exists. Because Wrecker being remote pres they had to come up with something not a pilot. Weird that unlike the Techbee it doesn’t come with a Tagcom skill. I think the flashpulse adhl and and repeater also make for additional good backline defense from DZ parachutists. Something a baggage bot can’t really help with besides the repeater.

    That makes sense but other pilots can at least join some fireteams. Well, if I happen to have 11pts left over I might try it but I'm not going to go out of my way to take it.

    Wow so with Starmada I’m going to be trying some Saladin! He lost Repeater but gained Deployable Repeaters with Minelayer (2)! I think I find this a bit better. I can cover the whole DZ if I also have a Kytta or Fuzzbot. But how does this work with his Decoy (2)? It's going to limit how far you can put them. it will be giving away who the real Saladin is.

    This is exactly why it's a downgrade, not an improvement. Now you have to set 4 pieces in 8" to the real one. This limits your deployment significantly. A repeater as an equipment is in many ways so much better, than a deployable one. I really preferred the Saladin before the update.

    I'm still going to try it out at some point. Sometimes you don't know until you try. But I'm having too much fun with vO12 right now, so it might be a while.

    I've tried seeing if I can fit the Tinker into an lists but so far I don't see any use for her.

    I've now played about 8+ games with the Gamma+Jackboot haris and it's mostly been a great team. A Jackboot ENG and Medic are great with him. But I found they are not needed much for him. He's durable enough to take on almost anything. So, now it's time to change it up a bit. I'm not going to try Silverstar Rovers. I'll still do JB for missions that need a lot of specialsts. But for a few points more than Jackboots i get more durability. I think I'm going to go with the Paramedic and Tinbot -3 with Tac Aware. All SR are special operatives too.

    I'm also now using the Feuerbach instead of the HMG. The Bust 5+1 HMG was great but the FB just has so much more punch. Burst 3+1 is not great too and when it hits, it's the enemy is likely dead.
