I finally had my first N5 with vO12. I can confirm the Gamma haris is awesome! Today I used the HMG+Jackboot ENG+JB Medic. Playing Uplink Center vs. USAriadna. Being able to shoot 5+1 burst is great. Twice I got two crits and I think twice I got 1 crit. I might have actually done better with an Omega because I was playing Ariadna and he had no MSV. But still it was good. I eventually went down to an AP sniper but he spent so much to do it that he didn't have orders to accomplish the mission. I screwed up by forgetting they have NWI btw. Oh well. I've also confirmed to myself that Mim -6 snipers are a great way to get rid of turrets. My last game with ISS the Kunai ninja with thunderbolt was great and this time it was Lynx sniper. Though it actually took two orders because he got super lucky on ARM rolls. Hello, I'm new to this game. I'm interested in the O-12 faction. Is the O-12 Collection Pack - Infinity CodeOne, the biggest pack, a good option to start with? Or is it better to start with an Action Pack and gradually buy more models?
Do you want to do Generic O-12? The Action pack is not bad. They need to revise it a bit because of the figures, Beta Trooper, is no longer available to O12. The key figures in it are the Omega, Gamma, Epsilon, Delta and Goldstein. The Starmada Action pack has the Kappas you actually want (mainly hacker), Lawkeeper, 2 Crushers. So there's 3 figures you can't use. So by getting those two action packs there's only 3 figures you just can't use. BTW I think the Saladin makes a great proxy for Hippolyta. Next pack to get Expansion Alpha with Lynx, Razor, and PsiCop. All three are great. Next ones I highly recommend is the Roadbot, Torchlight Beta Pack. Mainly for the Moonwrakers but the Stormbot is not bad. For all variants of O12, it's good to get the Lambda Doc/Eng, Remotes, Fuzzbots. Both TAGs are good too. I like the Wreaker. The Reinforcements box would have been good but they already screwed up the Jackboots to no longer have a Spitfire or combi rifle. But they can still be used as proxies for the HMG and Thunderbolt. The Ment has been in almost all of my lists. Vidocqs not so much. For single figures I recommend the Raveneye, Cyberghost, and Varangian.
You can start with the action pack, but it is not necessary. I play O-12 on tournaments and since N% i don't use a single unit from this box.
