Mini news for Sforza again, about his fireteam option by koni in the dark net : And still on the dark net, someone saw a ball in the hand of the new beasthunter, it could be a discoball although we haven't had a visual yet (at least I think so).
I'm not saying he's bad! He's great, but he's going to be the only guy at this point in your army. It's the rest of the army I worry about. I hope for some new good cheaper troops. At this point I see one or two great guys and the rest is nothing but orders to them. Even before if you took Adil Crane or any other Crane, you were not likely to take the Sophotech, your only doctor and Engineer. Nor the Su Jian. I don't know anyone in my group that took Sun Tze more than once to try him out. Looking at the new Vanilla shows that there's almost no good specialsits under 25pts.
Hopefully the other cranes get the same mov. Last time thei gaines D+1" to keep them 1 pts over Fusiliers. But I have hope. The pic of the package said "tactical bow" but yes it looks a bit disco
That might be the case in N4, but looking at the pricing that Scarecrows received, I would not be surprised in N5 makes Guilang FOs and Ninja KHDs a little cheaper. We also don't now much about the Yin-She and Gudan options and pricing. And FO bots like the Weibing have always been good and fast specialists in N3 and N4.
Even IF Guilang and Ninja KHD got small pt change, it's not going to help much. From the background the Snakes are MI and focused on killing TAGs. If we are lucky they may get a hacker in mid-20s. Maybe a FO. I have high hopes for the Gudan. They seem a little above Zhanshi by the background and the art makes them look light infantry. But it doesn't mean they are getting specialists.
Excellent. Loup Garou loadouts with Flash Pulses and Adhesive Launchers that were designed to fight Dog Warriors will, once again, actually function against Dog Warriors. Though it also means E/M CCWs will absolutely shred them, unless they got changed again.
I think it's more likely that there will be a rule called "Morat" that does some or all of what Veteran skill used to do.
My apologies about this. I was wrong about the size the Long Wang. (Geez it's hard to type with a straight face ). I thought he was size 7 but that's his ARM. He's the same as Blue Wolf but better ARM. I'm still not happy with the price. Something I don't get is why they made his PH so high. It can only dodge on a 11 and it's CCW is Para. The only thing the PH is good for is rolling against other AD ammo. And again, Adil is great! Especially as a wildcard. I can see myself taking him in a monk haris. This was something I was going to do with the MI version but this looks fantastic with the Crane version. ADIL CRANE RANK Breaker Combi Rifle, Nanopulser / Pistol, Monofilament CC Weapon. (0 | 45) SHAOLIN Chain Rifle, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, Shock CC Weapon. (0 | 5) LIANG KAI Chain Rifle, Light Shotgun, Flash Pulse / Pistol, EXP CC Weapon. (0 | 21) 0 SWC | 71 Points
Everyone always thinks their Long Wang is bigger than it is. ... Anyways it is really weird that it straight up can't deal damage in CC at all. It should at least have a regular CCW to represent just punching the other guy with your giant mech. If it had a regular CCW I'd be pretty happy with it. BS 14, BS(-3) HMG is pretty good for gunfights, Para CCW makes trying to kill it in CC unattractive, all the glue makes it a king of disrupting plans, and the Biometric Visor is a cute niche ability that feels right at home in ISS. There's also something else I noticed: word around the grapevine is that TAGs were going to get a rule that limited the benefit they got from Partial Cover, but I see no such rule on the Long Wang. So either the rule is baked into the TAG rules (not a fan, if that's the case) or S6 TAGs are exempt, which may make the Long Wang more attractive as a gun platform.
Adil cares for the little guys and gets talked down to by officers, so in a coincidental meta storytelling way HI Adil not fitting in with other fireteam HI, but hanging out with the dreg penitents and line troops too low rank for HI fits him. It's also cool that Adil's one man army profile doesn't overlap with one man army Hacker / Demolitions Daofei, or one man army invisible bullet storming Hac Tao.
