I am starting a thread for battreps for the long-running campaign by Bromad Academy. Anyone can add their battreps and narrative stories. I thought a central location may be useful.
Very cool battle report! I'm wondering though – how did the Tomcat "fail to land"? They only have Parachutist, meaning they can only come in via the sides, but they don't roll for it. Did you accidentally tried to combat jump her?
The custom mission for Nomads vs. PanO has the confused deployment rule thusly the tomcat had to roll on Ph -3
Didn't have time to make a battle report out of mine, suffice to say Varuna dominated Bahram is securing the beacon and then the Space pope, Specifically he was secured by the Tech Bee... some games narratively just write themselves...
So did I on the initial reading of the mission. On the day of our game I went through the mission rules again and saw that. Definitely changed my plan for an easy Nomad faction objective. Oh well. Let the next mission be more fun.
A battle report for the month of August 2024. Mission line-up between Nomads and PanOceania is The Brawl. Nomads win & complete their faction objective.
Our group's first battle report of June/July was Imperial Service vs USAriadna. Score 3- 9. USAriadna victory: https://docs.google.com/document/d/...ouid=110032932721156744785&rtpof=true&sd=true I missed the deadline for the late July game so folded it into a lore piece in the style of a nomad conspiracy theorist's talkshow/podcast: https://docs.google.com/document/d/...ouid=110032932721156744785&rtpof=true&sd=true The August game was Imperial Service vs Generic Nomads. Score 6 - 1. ISS victory. The narrative report continues the lore story above: https://docs.google.com/document/d/...ouid=110032932721156744785&rtpof=true&sd=true As a bit of fun I wrote whole narrative piece based on a single order from the last game: https://docs.google.com/document/d/...ouid=110032932721156744785&rtpof=true&sd=true
Here's my little narrative report for our August game: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1iXhakhSPxKkch5Pk9VNLnyf2gfu9v7dEEZPfNpAr8jI/edit?usp=sharing
Wow, a short and brutal game. Nice battrep. I didn't know that combat jump troopers can land inside the enemy deployment zone. I thought it was only the mid field and friendly dep. zone. Edit: just read the rules again on the wiki. This changes my tactics now. I cannot wait to use it for my next mission.
Latest battrep for Operation Edgelord. Nomads v. PanOceania. Nomads 2 to PanO 4 objective points, so I lose unfortunately. This game I tried out a full 5-trooper Core of Evaders with 4x AD troopers. The Evader Core is similar to what I posted in another thread. The Evaders is a cost effective HI core. It was brutal when I did use it for shooting. I will certainly try it more often. My Hellcat with Spitfire worked as planned taking out my opponent's key ARO pieces. Enjoy!
Huge delay on this one. We played our September game right at the end of the month, and then I was on holiday so just finished it now. Not a full narrative this time, but a narrative sandwich with a bit of flavour in the report section. There are AI images and GIFs though, so that's fun! ISS vs Morats Sensor Field 6 - 6 DRAW https://docs.google.com/document/d/13I-DTWEyjZbaHBdnV9znLgjb5xbD2Rd1qJ5bZHcgwaw/edit?tab=t.0
