I've seen a big news for us, well outside the news about Infinity N5... I've seen how to use AI to transform written content into a database to create a podcast. :scream::sunglasses::eyes:

So here's a topic on this technology and maybe a follow-up for those who'd like to turn themselves into a director instead of an actor-narrator, which would perhaps launch people into lore podcasting, or make their own podcasts to occupy their painting time.

How to create an AI audio podcast

Not long ago, I saw that Google had created a free tool, still undergoing testing, for transforming documents (pdf among others) into podcasts where 2 AI interlocutors will intervene to react to the data in your text, so you can transform forums, blogs, and the various pdf documents that exist into an audio podcast (you can give the AI any documents other:flag-de::flag-es::flag-fr: than in English, and it will be able to work on them even if the final rendering is only in English:flag-gb: for the moment).

It's even possible, like a radioshow producer, to set the themes you want, the questions,... of the podcast to guide their discussions.

For the moment, it's only in English and in test mode, but that could change in time.

The downside is that it's Google, so your data will potentially be passed through a Sensitive Reader at an exacerbated level, and whatever happens the AI interlocutors will always be ultra-positive rather than “critical and thinking” as you'd expect from humans debating in a podcast.

Here's an article on the subject: I Tried Making an AI-Hosted Podcast with Google's NotebookLM. It Worked Surprisingly Well.

Here this link to AI Notebooklm of Google :

And here's my test in 6 minutes, in relation to my last lore article in french forum, on ethnic diversity in Yu Jing that I did to show that we could add Africans and Europeans to our miniatures or rpg games, it fails a bit sometimes :hear_no_evil: but my original text was a bit confusing and I didn't rewrite it so that the AI would understand some parts better and that Sybille is the lore AI of CB for example :

    Summary on my podcast

Modock and Law Dawg like this.

I've found another AI tool for podcasts in the same style as Google's, it's the wondercraft site which lets you edit and make podcasts in French but there are also many other languages like Portuguese, on the other hand, it tends to be a paying site (basically freemium) if you want to make big podcasts, but you can create little 2-minute things and edit them, you have 6 credits that renew every month and then it's a paying site, but editing the text is free, at least for what I've done.

    Here's the site:
    https://www.wondercraft.ai/

Google has the advantage of allowing you to have a conversation with it to program how you want the conversation to go and it sums it up superbly, wondercraft on the other hand is much more manual, from what I've understood first you have to launch it in a very general theme, then you can edit it, but that means creating the dialogue between the 2 AI interlocutors yourself. On the other hand, the level of French is amazing.

Here I've got a little podcast in Infinity discovery radio format, where I've got a lambda public service-style hostess and a guy as stoned as a haqqislamite player. And they've got a little Québécois flair in their use of Frenglish.
It cost me 0.5 credits and I added a punk soundtrack at the end, which gave me a 2-minute podcast and a 2-minute soundtrack.

    Here's my demo in french:

Side tangent on AI as it relates to Podcasts.

I listen to a Podcast called Timesuck the host does pretty detailed dives in to a single subject, sometimes History or Mythology, sometimes semi Current events and germane to this story Serial Killers.

For the first episode of April which was released on the first he decided to play a trick and invented a fictional serial killer but record the episode as if it were fact until right at the end when he would reveal it was a prank.

Shortly afterwards a completely different podcast that does Serial Killers released an episode on the made up Serial Killer without any mention of the original podcast or apparently any awareness that it was invented.

The second podcast claimed to use a writer and they didn't say much but it seems that the 'writer' had just opened an AI and asked if for a script for a podcast about a Serial Killer and then just sent that through.

I don't think anybody would have noticed if there wasn't an audience cross over or if the two events were so closely timed.

So an AI can make a podcast script that not even an "experienced podcast host" spotted as AI generated.
