The vanilla nomad list does not loose particularly hot units, although it makes some double tags list impossible by taking away the Stigmaton. I am, however, rather annoyed by the cut of some very fluff units. In lore Black Hand often uses Observance as shock troops. And vanilla Nomads are what represents Black Hand best on the table, but now almost all of Observance is gone, apart from the sin eaters. Who are not only niche on the table, but lorewise are not something you will see away from the reverends, given how messed up they are in the mind. We also loose the riot grrls, an iconic Nomad unit, and most astoundingly - both Kusanagi and Bran do Castro, the two iconic Nomad characters. But Wolfy Wolf somehow makes the cut. So yeh, in terms of gameplay... I'm mostly fine with what we get. In terms of flavour, vanilla Nomads got gutted. Which is sad for people enjoying the narrative campaigns and the lore of the game.
Really? Didn't notice, I bought like 3 boxes for conversions, I know some other people that did the same, I thought they were keeping them as they were selling really nice.
You mean Haidao? Daoying are not naval unit. Haidao have the black "wheat laurels" with Yu Jing name in a white capsule which seems to be a common theme for units linked to the "Special Forces" (Hactao, Tiger Soldiers, Ye Mao). We will see if Yin-Shé are also part of the special operation command. But, yes, Gudan share the same colors as Daoying (even the yellow star), so maybe they are linked in some way to the Invincible Army even if they share the same logo pattern as more generic troops : Zhanshi and Shaolin Monks.
I think he meant Tian Gou which are a naval unit. White laurels, white capsule, but with a single yellow symbol mixed with a white one. Unit Logo: https://www.human-sphere.com/images/d/d1/Tian-g-u-orbital-activity-squad-null-1_logo.jpg Non-HI Invincible units (so not Zhanshi or their support equivalents) seem to be identified by the three stars (Daoying and Lai Gong).
Thats a pretty good name for a Pan O unit! I wouldn´t shed a tear if she leaves. They never managed to make her work for her points and the mini makes good Trauma proxy. Also Techbee could go and live her life as an HVT or Warcore and in the fluff. 42 so 8 are still missing €dit: mean I would not miss her but I like her though
Something standing out to me is that in a few of the lists there's a new unit positioned between the TAGs and the Skirmishers. Redeye Close Air Support GO-Pods Firebat Attack Wing Guessing these might be some of the new drone/flying troops. also, diggers and beasthunters and monstruckers still part of generic O12 but gone from everywhere else? bwuh?
We've seen specific, separate unit icons for TAG Pilots, but not the Remote Pilots used by PanO and the CA. Anyone else think that this might mean that Pilots are going to be treated differently going forward? I'm a bit worried about no longer being able to complete Specialist actions with the Squalo and Uhlan CB won't let me use anymore.
I counted 5 new Ariadna units: Pilots Of Mekhamobylia or somthing like that. That's a separate TAG pilot profile, every faction gets one.
That is lovely) - Tag pilots complains about HRMC. Too hot even trough remote control - Yu Jing put it on heavy armor platform... - Hm... We can do better. Lets put it on drone!
I am happy with the generic list. Everything I own currently can be used without proxy. Sad to see the Riot Grrls gone, but that is only a minor concern.
Antipodes were not enough, now we have cyber enhanced antipodes. Great! I cannot wait for their stats to come out. Hopefully they can be hacked.
As much as I would love for the MRRF to finally come back as a full sectorial, I find it unlikely on the short term. To me, all currently available MRRF units being in vanilla tells me MRRF is cut as a full sectorial and is now just part of Vanilla and Reinforcements. If CB are intending to limit the number of sectorials for each faction then the MRRF is probably the most logical to cut, being as they are the Reinforcement providers. All I can hope is they add some more Moblot minis. At most, maybe we'll see some sectorial neutral units being MRRF fluff wise.(like for 112 for example) On CB decision I do find a little perplexing and I mean no hostility to TAK players is how are they the ones getting new units ? TAK is the one sectorial in Ariadna that has a full roster. I think a lot of players would have preferred to see more stuff in one of the less developed sectorials, whichever sectorial gets to be Ariadna's number 3.
