Currently, the "Warning!" rule allows a model to change its facing towards an enemy model within its Zone of Control, but it does not grant an ARO unless the enemy model subsequently performs an action. We played that the "Warning!" modified to allow the reacting model to gain an ARO immediately after changing its facing, provided it has Line of Fire (LoF) to the enemy model - it was fun! what do you think? Proposed Rule Change: Current Rule: A model that changes its facing due to a "Warning!" does not gain an ARO unless the enemy model performs an action or movement. Proposed Rule: A model that changes its facing due to a "Warning!" gains an immediate ARO if it has Line of Fire (LoF) to the enemy model, regardless of whether the enemy model performs an action or movement. Somehow similar to sixth sense ir 360Visor. Benefits of the Change: Increased Tactical Options: This change would make "Warning!" a more powerful and strategic option, encouraging players to think more carefully about positioning and facing. Enhanced Realism: It would better reflect the quick reaction times and heightened alertness of troops on the battlefield. Balanced Gameplay: By giving models a chance to respond immediately after a facing change, it could balance scenarios where players are hesitant to perform actions due to potential AROs, thus promoting a more dynamic and engaging game flow. I believe this adjustment adds a new layer of strategy to the game, making it even more enjoyable for players to assist some kind of cheaper model to a key model…
There's no such thing as Warning! in N4. Rule suggestions also belong in the subthread for it - https://forum.corvusbelli.com/forums/rules-suggestions.246/
Thanks for your reply! We are also chatting about that in the dischord ;) we were testplaying a houserule using „Lookout“ to get an aditional ARO to the warned unit. We testplayed the houserule like this: A Unit A of the reactive player which has ARO to an enemy can declare a „look out“ to warn another non-facing unit B. This unit B can turn around to face (like dodge) AND gets an ARO himself - it was fun somehow, but yes ARO ist getting more powerfull and wrong positioning less meamingfull.
I assume you're talking about the "Alert!" rule. That rule has remained virtually unchanged since N1, save for some minor wording changes to fit the current rulebook. It doesn't seem like it's a rule that CB feels needs any changes... so it doesn't seem like they'll consider any change requests.
